I could write an essay on how the working class of this country have been shat on by every post war government & beyond. But i'd rather say this. I've never lived in liverpool but i have been there many times as a visitor & worked with numerous scousers & i can say hand on heart they along with the geordies are the best people i have ever met. I'm welsh but feel properly blessed that throughout my working career i just happened to end up working with a number of scouse lads & i swear from the bottom of my heart, they are the best, funniest, most straight up people i have ever met. I went to university in manchester & the mancs were always spitting venom about the scousers. But i will tell you now, from personal experience....mancs start off assuming you are an enemy until you prove otherwise. Scousers assume you are a friend until you prove otherwise. And i promise you that is from personal experience. If you are from outside the uk or even if you are a brit & you've never been to liverpool you absolutely have to put this city on your 'to do' list. Sad to see..I lived in Stonehill years ago aged 15 and used and sold from there. Lower Breck used to be okay and a sense of community but that’s gone and it’s dead. Generally people who could get out did. Shame on the council for the way parts of city are look worse than during the heroin epidemic of the 80s.

Unfortunately most areas in north west towns have been left to go to ruin, I was in Blackpool the other day and it's mental how bad it is there nowadays.

Moved to Anfield 11 years ago from West Bromwich, you all say it’s a shit hole and run downbut I promise you if you were to spend a week in West Brom you’d realise that you have it better than you realise. You’re making a video showing how shift the area is supposed to be but you only focus on the empty buildings. Not once do we see litter blowing down the streets or bin bags & mattresses dumped on grass verges like in and around Birmingham. Why dont you try making a difference and promote your city instead of chasing likes and subscriptions.

Not sure he's showing it to try make it look worse than it already is, he's doing it to spread awareness to show what the government and councils dont and wont show because they know people would start asking them to pull their fingers out.

The council dont want the headace of trying to sort it out. They allow the places to become so run down until the numbers cant be balanced with their own investment..then can then bundle it all up in to packages and sell them off for £1 to "Regeneration Charities" part of the deal is normally the regeneration charity has to provide a local community space once its complete. They have beem doing it for years. Some of it has been positive from what I can remember. But seems not all is effective. I was working for a short time for the city council planning department. l seen it first hand.

The worst part of Anfield is actually those new builds. At least the old stuff, poorly maintained as it is, has character and quality. New stuff is just ugly, completely unsuited to the area, and a testament to shady Fat Joe and his mates at Keepmoat. It wasnt redeveloped it was DE-developed.
@robbiedolan3409 күн бұрын
Instead of giving out a 1000 tickets they should sell them and use the money in the community.
@RS-xx9ve28 күн бұрын
So many beautiful old Victorian buildings could have been revamped. Instead they were replaced with tat. Meanwhile the stadium which could be a saviour to N Lpool is still being strangled because the shady mayor was an Evertonian and too pally with Keepmoat. Shameful.
