@@jrhartley5 Ridiculous comment from you. Completely different scenario to last season. Ange isn't out his depth, like Lennon clearly was. When individuals choose self interest over the interests of the club, there will obviously be protests. The problem wasn't the teams form, the problem was the clubs reluctance to try and change our fortunes in an extremely important season.

On every Australian interview Ange has done since he came to Celtic it’s clear to see how proud his fellow countrymen are of him and how behind him they are. As a Celtic fan I was one of the sceptical people and that was definitely due to my ignorance of football from that side of the world but after looking into him I was convinced he would do well and he is now starting to prove himself. The man is a trailblazer for Australian football and he has opened the door for other managers from that part of the world, he deserves all the respect that he is getting. Celtic has always been a good place to showcase your abilities to the English premier league clubs and there is no doubt that Ange will manage in England one day. Hopefully not a day too soon though. 😂

Honestly can't explain how ecstatic the feeling is around Ange. The lead up to it was for fraught with anger for capitulating 10iar and the build up to a candidate that had been hyped for 6 months which collapsed and was deemed yet another failure of our board. Unfortunately the big man caught some flack initially due to that and a smattering of ignorance. I wouldn't try and speak for everyone but I can say I've genuinely not seen the fanbase this united behind a manager in my lifetime since Martin O'Neil. Yet this feels different, Ange seems inevitable.

So he was never getting a fair shake off of them🤣 Not that he needs it, he demolishes them on a weekly basis and it's an utter joy. Would recommend trying to find some of his fan media conferences. Twenty years ago, true. The A League is a solid part of our sporting identity now. The negativeness of tribalism was the problem, not any of the positive cultural things every immigrant culture has brought to Australia to enrich the greater culture. Honestly, football fans need to take a modern perspective on the game here and stop dwelling on the negatives of the past, the tribal strife that occurred among the positive cultural lives, and the Australian antipathy to it. 👍

He makes it sound so simple. Be clear in your style of play and get players who fit the style. And it works. Celtic can virtually play two first teams of almost the same quality. I'm so impressed. My only worry is that he's going to get offers from England sooner rather than later. My hope is he really wants to build something special at Celtic - and make us into a team like Ajax, who are always dangerous against any team in the CL - and are able to continually regenerate as their best players are sold for massive profit.

Interview was a bit awkward with Bosnic and Foster. They were amongst his biggest critics whilst he was coaching the national team. They were part of the Sydney media Mafia. They wanted him to have a plan B and C etc. They wanted to deflate any hope. Ange is not Mr Pragmatist he is a dreamer and he gets everyone to buy into his thinking. When they stop buying in then the magic disappears. After qualifying Australia for the World Cup he handed the keys back to the critics. Be careful what you wish for people. Now Australia is playing lame football on a constant basis. Ange had the good grace to do this interview. I would not have done it.

Forgive but I'm sure he will never forget. If anything he has a lot to thank Craig Foster. Everything happens for a reason.

@@dimsim78 I don’t think that Foster has anything influence in the way Ange coached. He coached South Melbourne with the same philosophy. He is very much a product of South Melbourne. Not only were you expected to win but it had to be done with style. The fans at middle park demanded it. People have always been jealous of Ange and they thought he was beneath them on a Football level. He doesn’t look flash and they always underestimated him. It is very much a NSW Victorian thing. It is quite nasty. You see it in other sports like cricket as well. As I said the critics have control of the Australian Nation team and mediocrity has taken hold. Let’s see Grandpa Arnold qualify Australia for the World Cup this time around. Ange was not able to coach for a very long period of time apart from 6 months in Greece. He could not even get enough kids at the park to coach for free.

Ange knows the Media. He was a media man himself for awhile. He would not forget, but he’s not a grudge holder IMO. He clearly has some kind of relationship with Bos - probably through the media as much as anything - so I’m sure they could have an argument but still be okay with each other. And his comments about Craig and the refugees are genuine. They had a tiff, Craig was wildly out of line and wrong IMO all those moons ago, it influenced Ange’s sacking from the youth team I’m sure, but both, while not forgetting anything, clearly have moved on. Neither Ange nor Craig are petty people. 👍

During his tenure with the Socceroos Foster was quite supportive of Ange, it was only Bozza and Slater who went hard in the media to get him out of the job.

@@fabsalomon85 I think Shwartzer was in the mix too. Foster did enough damage first time around. His reaction was way out of line. Both Bozza and Foster were sheepish in front of Ange. Who would have thought time EPL players could bow to Ange.

If Ange can live out his dream and win a European Cup (or two!), why would he leave for a ‘bigger’ club with all the money and egos involved? A national team might be the next step. I’m thinking Japan. 👍

Not only are we in Scotland lucky to have Ange , football in general should be. He has genuinely bought in with his all and already restored a bedraggled dispirited side to a real football team again. Hope he signs for another 10 years. Fully trusting his process. Best wishes to expats and friends over in Oz ! 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿🇦🇺👏👏

I state now as I have known Ange from a young man back in the early 80;s with Hellas, once his time and work is done at Celtic the big money will come from a major premier league team and Ange will conquer the world that is how much football this man is

Nice to see Ange and Foster on good terms. I must admit their argument from back in the day made for some great viewing but that was a classy thing for Ange to make a point of telling him he respects him. Very refreshing to see people act like adults.

Born and bred at South Melbourne Hellas FC folks. He's sometimes a bit cold and unemotional for some, but what a man he is deep down and with a big heart. To immediately bury the hatchet like that with Craig Foster, after the car-crash exchange with him years ago when Fozzie went on his own watch-hunt on national TV, just huge from Ange and shows what a special bloke he is to forgive the past and move ahead.
