I just don't like the white gloves, and I'll admit when Angel Dust was revealed my smile dropped. I kinda wish his jacket was just one solid color. Anyway I love your redesign his spooder legs are so cute!

I do agree that Angel should have at least some parts of Valentino, to show some sort of branding (something more other than the gold tooth). I don't mind other characters' design, because that is that person's style and I don't care. If Viv wants her characters like that, that's fine. I just found them underwhelming. But in my view, I go off of personality and not the character design.

The idea of giving Angel Valentino influences is amazing! I can imagine Angel taking off the fur and shedding his Valentino influences as he becomes his own

I love your redesign! and boy you are correct, I had no idea Angel had white gloves! I thought he had a pair of pink gloves in one pair of arms and none in the other pair??? IT'S WEIRD. When I heard they were making redesigns of the characters I thought there was gonna be significant changes, instead they just made weird decisions

Your redesign is amazing, I absolutely love it! I love the idea of Angel dressing up in clothes that he knows Val would like, and then, as the story progresses, dressing up in clothes he actually likes. Amazing way to show character growth.

It is a shame you're getting such hate for your redesigns, i think they are really well done! and it's really a shame that people can't have an opinion without getting yelled at. Personally i love some of the redesigns Viv made, but i also love some of the redesigns you've made. Sure they all have their pros and cons, but at the end of the day everyone's entitled to their own opinions, and no one should be harassed for liking either of the designs, or disliking either of the designs either.

I will continue to support Viv. And I trust her. It's just so far the designs for Angel and Alastor were really disappointing. The hate is absolutely horrendous and really scary because imagine working hard on this series that millions are tuning in for. And the hate comments stick out. It's ok to critique but do it in a kind way that doesn't hurt the creator

I like your design, makes me think of Angel Dust while in drag rather than a male casual look. The only thing I don’t really like is the spider sack(?) Not really sure what it’s called but that’s mostly cause it looks kinda stiff to me. Not sure how to describe it. But overall I think it looks great. And yeah gonna miss that fluff.

This design is very cute, I love the colours and the actual body is well designed and very much up my alley- I do have one critique! The fur collar is far too similar to the face colour and creates a lot of visual noise, causing the face, which should be a main focal point, to get lost. I feel it could be benefitted by shrinking it so it doesnt go past the neck, and/or changing the colour, making it a darker pink so it sinks backwards in the design. Otherwise, good job!

I really love how you did AngelDust! He honestly does look more like a Drag Queen now! And I can understand why the designs could be less then great due to how stressed Vivziepop is due to what's been going on with juggling both Hazbin and Helluva(which are told to be going through legal issues with the finally of S1E8 which is added on with the harassment Viv is getting from their toxic fans) but I digress because that could or couldn't of had a play in that where it lead to Viv taking a break from being online{Social Media} and such. But, I really hope that Vivziepop does look at how people see the redesigns as constructive criticism to make the designs better because they were fairly uhh kinda poor taste? Due to how confusing the designs were and the color palette being confusing as well, I don't like them but I don't hate them more of a wish they were done better. Being an artist(I'm not professional in any form so you can take my words with a grain of salt due to me being a young artist{Teen}) seeing the designs and how it was tackled, kinda seemed like rushed ideas? and really wished Viv put more pop to make them be more obvious of what the characters are and make their color palette and design reflect that while still having the characters be themselves. I feel like Husk's redesign would be one that I'm most worried about because of it's busyness and seeing with how the other's were, I won't be putting my expectations super high but I do hope Vivziepop is taking what people say into consideration to make a design that's less busy but still good and recognizable. That's all I really gotta say, I just hope Vivziepop does take the constructive criticism and better the designs, and as well say it again, *That I really love how you did your redesign of AngelDust, It's just so amazing!*

I always thought the white gloves blended too much with Angel’s fur colour, and how it was like too plain for him. Somehow the lack of bow tie actually helped his fluff stand out more

This design is really good.^^ dare I say it, better than what we got tbh. I like the clothes you picked for him and his makeup. I like the fact that you put more drag elements in to the design it just fits. And I'm SO glad you brought his chest fluff back. I saw some people saying he was better without the fluff because it made people confused about his gender. But that's literally the point?? He's a femboy who likes drag lol. Also the fur tit thing is simply Peak character design anyways. I know how viv was saying "he still has his fluff" but it sure doesn't look like it. People we're saying it was because of the angle. But even then you would be able to see his fluff stick out from the sides. I also like how you gave him a little bit of a booty. I know it's part of Vivzipop's style to make all of her male characters pelvises super small for some reason. But I think it just looks better if angle was a little bit more thick than he is. Also, YES! The point about his head and legs shape. This is something I've been saying for years. Angel's legs change shape so often it's really weird. (I'm not even sure why they gave him digitagrades to begin with if he is a spider.) And his head shape. It also confuses me too. I really don't get how it's supposed to work. It looks like there's practically no space on his head for anything besides his face.

I feel like Hazbin hotel had so much room for creativity and it just fell kind of flat. The pilot and Helluva boss had our hopes so high, but it's cool seeing people redesigning the characters and exploring their potential.

I totally agree with you on pretty much all of the points you make because those are the same things I've been noticing about these designs too! You make every character actually distinct & the outfits you give them actually show off their personalities (which is usually supposed to be the point of a character's outfit unless they're hiding something on purpose!) I'd love to see the animation friendly versions of these designs too! Considering how awesome these ones are, I'd imagine the simplified ones are just as cool (but for different reasons because they're simple!)

I like the added spider elements and more enhanced drag features you included. However, I feel like a lot of his shape language was lost on your design. His original head shape in particular has an iconic silhouette. I think with some tweaking and exaggeration of features you could have an even more solid design

I would very much like to see your animation friendly designs along side your flexing designs. Be a good contrast. Because one could be for comics and the other can be for animation. Also thank you for changing his shirt color, it irked me how his shirt was the same color as his body with stripes the same color as his spots. I also love the paldipals (I still spelt it wrong...) , I just thought he was a generic bug at first, like how people had to tell me veggie was a moth. I had to be told he was a spider. And I kinda liked the concept of vaggie and him together. Spider and moth , it was DIFFERENT. And you removed the bow tie , THANK YOU.

I absolutely am I love with the way you designed Angel! I love the butt/tail thing you got going for him, I like the pinstripe suit, and the legs with the toe beans is brilliant touch you came up with! And I completely agree with you, I have always thought his head is weird the way the hair and head itself just phase into one another. as a character designer, turnarounds are my absolute favorite thing to draw, and practicing with other characters has always been a habit of mine, and I could never really work out Angel, it's a poor technical design for the animators referencing the turnaround But still, you did a amazing job! I really enjoyed the Alastor one you did, and can't wait for Vaggie to come from you! Keep doing what you're doing hun!

I was never able to put into words why I didn’t like Angel’s new redesign but you hit the nail on the head with your critique! However, I do have to disagree with your critique on the shape of his head. It’s a real strong silhouette that makes him stand out while also being very fun to draw. I do love your redesign outfit so so much more (off the shoulder blazer is genius) but the silhouette of his head gets kinda muddled by the spider legs and fluff. I do love the idea in concept though (Angel using the legs to teasingly caress someone’s cheek or it helping him gesture during a head shot) I am looking forward to seeing the animation friendly design video!

Angel Dust is my favorite characters and honestly, my all time favorite character in general. I have always liked his design a lot but this new take on it ATE DOWN. Also, I had no clue he was a drag queen...I think Vivzi dropped the ball portraying that part of him through his design but once again, you did a spectacular job!

I really really love the design and I think Angel looks adorable my only concern is that the design may be a bit too cluttered with the stripes but overall you did an awesome job

I have so many things to say about him, first: love the new outfit and hair, I really like the shorts you gave him :D looks very stylish, and also the mix of pinks. Also like that you removed his unnecessary bowtie, and him having both styles of gloves is v cool! I think it helps to add variation to the design without being messy and stuff Now, the spider bits, OH MY GOSH THE SPIDER BITS I LOVE THEM, HIS PEDIPALPS WITH THE PINK TIPS, HIS FLUFFY BUTT WITH THE HEART MARKING. HIS. FEETSIES. HIS!!! FEETSIES!!!!💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕 The gradients and markings look very lovely too ^^ 10/10 would love seeing him in the actual show (just like all of your redesigns)

I actually love this so much! The way that everything is spider themed is extremely helpful to tell what he's actually based off of because regular angel looks nothing like an actual spider and if you have to read the wiki its probably a bad design oof Despite this being extremely complex to animate I think if there was ever a scene in the actual series of hazbin where angel is in drag or preparing to be this design for him would be so awesome 😩

I didn’t like Angel’s official design before, I dislike it even more now, but I do like his character. He’s brutally honest, he’s horny, he’s reckless, he’s out of pocket and very unserious, but he can be considerate and he gives me the vibe that does know when a joke goes too far. Not to mention his pilot voice, bring back Michael Kovach’s Angel Dust😭 I’ve never been a direct simp for Angel, because I dislike his official design and his character is only likeable for me. But your take has me seriously reconsidering, like I am down bad for your Angel, he is pretty as all hell. You saw an opportunity to just go ham and you really went ham with it. I also like how you criticise Viv constructively, and you give reasoning for your critique, not to mention that you’ve also helped me a lot with my own characters by saying what you think and doing what you do. I’m so glad I stumbled upon you like a year ago, I only have positive things to say about you and your community💜💜💜

One thing I just realised, which is also a big issue I have with the series, is that Viv just creates a ton of character lore that a) is not reflective in the fucking character design!!! b) is not touched upon in the show, but expected to be known. Its like telling the lord of the rings without the prologue and expecting people to understand it

OKAY YES THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR COMMENTING ON THE INVERTED STRIPES. I could not for the life of me pinpoint or articulate what bothered me most about the suit, but yeah.. The colors were so good in the original and then they just... did the opposite. Like I don't understand the logic behind that, and I completely agree they washed each other out and didn't match with the neon pinks. AND THE FRICKING WHITE MARKINGS ON THE PINK GLOVES AND THE GLOVES NOT MATCHING AHHH. WHY DO HIS BOTTOM GLOVES MATCH HIS FUR COLOR??? I kind of understand the evening gloves, I think they were trying to make him more mature and classy... but like. It doesn't really match his striped suit and I he's not exactly supposed to be a classy character. It's like they were trying to go more for escort, rather than stripper...? For your design I do agree with the idea that Angel should have more drag queen and spider details, and I think him trying to be kind of like Val's aesthetic makes sense. I also agree that the horizontal stripes were cute, but didn't make much sense. When I first saw Angel and learned more about him, I thought the bowtie, suit, and stripes were trying to nod back to his 40's roots, but they don't actually look much like 40's fashion. Same with the drag queen thing, although Viv has drawn Angel in actual drag, which makes me think his everyday look is just supposed to be what he prefers, rather than him TRYING to appear as a woman. But anyways, I do really like your design! I think the outfit is really good and colors are spot on. I don't like the fur collar quite as much though, because I think it kind of blends too much with his chest and longer hair, but I like the Val/Drag element it serves as. Also for his feet, it is odd they're so big, but it's also mentioned by Viv that's one feature he hates about himself so...? I don't really know the whole logic/justification behind it 😂😭 BUT THE WHITE STRIPE YOU ADDED ON HIS COLLAR. That was probably on accident but it matches Alastor's new white stripe, so I thought it was funny😂 Sorry, this comment is all over the place, but as a few last thoughts- I really like the cuffs and black gloves you gave his top arms, I think it helps bring back some of the black into his outfit that was lot by the bowtie (although I think the fluffy collar just adds too much pastel pink in the same area still). But his thicker bottom and makeup I love and agree with! There's probably something I'm missing because my thoughts are going a mile a minute, but overall I love your redesigns and ideas! I can't wait for Vaggie!

Im trying to do my own take on redesigning the main cast of Hazbin Hotel and youre actually right, Charlie and Angel Dust are way easier to redesign than Vaggie and Alastor. Idk why but i theorize that in comparison to Vag and Al, Angel and Charlie are way too boring looking XD They both have suits and aside from the little open space on the chest from Angel, they are way to similar shaped

Your version ate so bad omggg I love Angel dust but his character is so just odd to me. His body is really skinny but yours is so neat :)

The point with the making animation easier with the gloves is the fact that Angel’s original suit had ton of stripes in his arms. With the longer sleeves they can hide his arms and not draw every single stripes on every frame. Plus the darker color for the suit makes way more sense design wise since the suit use to have the same color as his skin and made it harder to know when his skin ended and the suit started.
