Angelina has more colors to her voice than I have words to describe it. *Why Angelina always performs barefoot* At age 6, while traveling in the Middle East with her mother and grandmother, Angelina noticed a girl around her age standing on the side of the road, asking people to step on her bathroom scale to be weighed in hopes of getting some money. Angelina took off her shoes so as to not get the scale dirty and stepped on the scale many times to make the girl feel better. Angelina befriends the girl who was not wearing shoes and has scars on her feet, and learns she is an orphan. The orphan girl tells Angelina how beautiful she thinks her shoes are. Angelina says her shoes don’t fit her well and she wants to give her shoes to the orphan girl who thanks Angelina for giving her the shoes. Angelina asked the girl what she wanted to be when she grew up and the girl replied, “I want to become a doctor, but that will never happen since I have no parents and I have siblings so I have to do whatever is necessary for us to survive.” Angelina told the girl to never give up on her dreams. The poor girl asked Angelina what she wanted to be when she grew up and Angelina replied that she wanted to sing for the whole world. The poor girl said she would pray every day so Angelina’s dream would come true. Angelina still says she thinks of that homeless girl every day and has always performed barefoot to remind her of all the children who are less fortunate. And she was born to the perfect family when it comes to support. I encourage you to go at least back to age 6 and enjoy the loveliness this beautiful young lady always exudes in her performances, both in voice and in her persona, even at age 6. As well as her brilliant version of Elvis’s “Suspicious Mind”. She released her latest album “Old Enough” and it is definitely some of her best stuff. My personal favorite is her cover of Lana Del Rey's "Born To Die". Although the soundtrack is really growing on me.

Ola, the "Bohemian Rhapsody " cover you should have reacted to was by Pentatonix. They are an acapella group of five singing angels. They did the entire song, unlike Angelina Jordan. I really liked you first reaction to our little Angel! I shed a tear or two the first time I heard her just a couple of days after her NGT audition was shown on TV in Norway on March 07, 2014 and was put on the internet and went viral. A little over a month ago she sang my all time favorite song, Unchained Melody, at the Nobel Peace Price and I shed a bunch of tears! I was in the audience in Burbank Calf. in 1965 when Bobby Hatfield of the Righteous Brothers covered this song for the first time. At the time, and for many years afterwards, I did not think anyone could ever do the song better. Then when Angelina was 9 she was on a TV show being interviewed about the book she had just published (Youngest published book author ever in Norway) Before the interviewed she sang a short version of Unchained Melody and no, she did not do it better than Bobby had, but I could tell that one day she would be able to do it better! Sept, 22, 2023 I was setting 30 feet from her during her concert in Portsmouth NH when she start what was suppose to be the last song of the night. Before she finished the first line of the song I was an 81 yo man crying like a baby. As I looked around the sold out audience I did not see anyone that was not crying! And yes, she sang Unchained melody better than ANYONE had ever sang it before! Then 3 months later she did it again at the Peace Price, and she did it even better!! To know what she sounds like today I would highly recommend you react to her Peace Price version! But before reacting to it read 2 or 3 of the longer comments to her performance to know what the background for the way she performed it and why she was there! Knowing the background makes the performance even more outstanding, and emotional!!!

I love her voice. So beautiful. She has a very husky jazz voice which you hear so seldom. But if you'd like to hear a more authentic cover of Bohemian Rhapsody, you can't do better than the Pentatonix version. They studied the song and tried out various arrangements for 5 years before coming up something that they thought would show their deep respect for Queen's masterpiece. Brian May (Queen's lead guitarist) liked it so much he shared it on his Social Media accounts with the simple comment, "Enjoy"...

Oh boy, you are going to be bombarded by her fans called Angels that will fill you in on this music prodigy with an old soul from Norway. She's basically been a star since she was 7 years old. First and foremost, she is a jazz singer but has the ability to sing any genre. She also does all of her own musical arrangements. Even though she has been compared by many to Amy Winehouse, her major influence is Billie Holiday. Other influences are Dinah Washington, Louis Armstrong, Frank Sinatra, Elvis Presley, Etta James, Amy Winehouse, Whitney Houston, and Adele to name a few. Her love of jazz came from her grandmother playing jazz music around her when she was young. In 2014, she entered at age 7 and won Norway's Got Talent at the age of 8. With her new found fame, she used it to appear on many shows from abroad and help raise millions for the less fortunate children around the world. At age 13, she was invited to participate on America's Got Talent: The Champions in 2020. She shocked the audience and the judges with her rendition of Bohemian Rhapsody by Queen. She received a standing ovation from all and got the Golden Buzzer from judge Heidi Klum to go straight to the Finals. Her performance went viral and even the group Queen responded on Twitter by saying, "Wow, what a rendition!" For Queen to respond to someone covering one of their songs is quite a feat since they rarely react to anyone. She did not win, but her fan base grew and expanded her popularity. Now 18 years old, living in Los Angeles, and currently signed with Republic Records, whose clients include Taylor Swift, Ariana Grande, The Weeknd, and Drake to name a few. Her family and Republic Records had agreed not to heavily promote her just yet so she can live as normal of a life as possible and finish her schooling. From what we know, she is finally done with school. She had a single that came out May 5th called Love Don't Let Me Go, a new EP called Old Enough that came out Friday, July 21st, 2023, a newly released video of her new song called Now I'm The Fool, and a new album of original music which will be coming out early next year. Angelina just recently released her new single, Our Time, and is fantastic! She returned back to Norway and performed at a number of sold out concerts in which fans from around the world came to see her. Many of the fans there said she sounded better live in person and was a once in a lifetime experience. On September 22, 2023, Angelina had her first U.S. concert that sold out in Portsmouth, New Hampshire. On December 11, 2023, she was asked to come back and perform at the Nobel Peace Prize Concert. She first performed at this prestigious event in 2014 when she was 8. Her fans call her The Barefoot Princess. She always performs with no shoes when she sings. Why? The reason is very special. When she was 6 years old, she was traveling with her family in Iran where she met a poor shoeless girl in the streets that was about her age. She made money by weighing people. After speaking with her for a few minutes, Angelina noticed the scars on the girl's feet and asked the girl what her dream is. The girl said she wanted to be a doctor but she couldn't because she had to make money for her family. Angelina did what came natural to her, she gave the little girl her shoes and told her to not give up on her dreams. The girl then asked Angelina what her dreams were, Angelina answered that she wanted to sing for the whole world, and the girl said she would pray for her success. Since then, Angelina has performed barefoot in honor of that little girl and to those who are less fortunate around the world. She keeps this promise to this day.
