Her expertise isn't only in multi genre singing, but in arranging how she wants things done by the musicians she uses here. These vocal acrobatics are beyond anything I've ever experienced from other singers of any age. Her 'vocal chameleon' ability allows here to generate any type of sound the song calls for, aided by her being able to go into any level of musical registers from super high, all the way down to super low. For super high, go to her cover of Whitney Houston's 'I Have Nothing', then go to super low when she sings the gospel song 'How Great Thou Art' where she actually stays lower longer than Elvis Presley's version. People may not be aware that Elvis began as a gospel singer.

I comment on the "pensive" child because Angelina has an incredible work ethic and seeks to perform every song in a way she considers will bring out all the emotions within the lyrics and melody. All of them are true, but I prefer the nickname I gave her after listening to about six of her performances. For me, she is "The Chameleon of Song", for as a chameleon is able to change its colour to match its surroundings, so Angelina is able to change the "colour" of her voice to accurately match the needs of the song to reveal the emotions within the lyrics and melody. Even more remarkable is her innate ability to communicate those same emotions to her listeners.

One important thing to remember about AJ is that she owns the rights to everything she sings. She refused to sign for a record deal through AGT and they relented and invited her to sing anyway. She began singing at 18 months and due to her grandmothers influence, she was drawn to and fell in love with jazz and blues music. She has been arranging most, if not all of her music performances since she was 8 years old. Currently in 2022 she still performs barefoot, sews her own clothes, (the cloth is designed by her grandmother) and she stands 6 feet tall at 15 yeats old! We all hope to enjoy her performances for many years to come. BTW I'm 80 and have been involved privately in music since age 7.

I like that you guys picked up on something... it's not just her age and her voice that is astounding. It's her focus. She takes this so seriously. You can just sense how important music is to her. You may find some other young kids that can sing, but I don't think you will ever find another kid that just "gets it" the way Angelina did at this age. This one is special. You are right about that. But Angelina herself is even much more special than this, in herself. Shock and misbelief is rather common things by Angelina listeners. I think even her family have had a few of such experiences. This time in the studio I`m sure must be such a moment even for them. My personal opinion from watching and enjoying Angelina for years .. She does not "perform" but instead she embodies the song she's singing. She does the arrangements herself. She often honors the composers of the version of songs she does covers. Many people say this video will be famous in the history of music for the quality of her singing and especially for her age.

Angelina's fans get it, we have been watching her since she was 6 years old with this insurmountable talent that rarely comes along in ones lifetime....but here we are and we are fortunate to be alive at this time and be a part of this wonderful journey with Angelina. there are hundreds of videos from Angelina on youtube. as she aged the songs she chose, for the most part , stayed at the same maturity level. she has always done songs way above her age. i dont know what year or what age she was, either 11 or 12 at most, she did a live outdoor concert and performed the song "Diamonds Are Forever", and she tears it up amazing !!! in 2020 she released videos at age 14 that were a few covers and some originals. she released her first original song she had written about the death of her grandfather who she was very close with. the song is called "Million Miles". there are 3 versions of this song video out there, the third one (live in studio in black and white is the best one. the music is more simple and mature, a piano and a cello and Angelina standing at a microphone singing here heart out. if this song doesnt break your heart or even make you cry, you have issues. lol her second original song is called "7th Heaven". this song is a more up tempo jazzy bluesy song, very well done. in 2021 she did covers of Michael Jackson's songs, "Heal The World" and also of "Billie Jean" amazing how she makes these her own. near the end of 2021 Adele released a song called "Easy On Me", and just a very few days later, Angelina came out with her version of this song Adele had written and recorded. again, Angelina takes this song and makes it her own. where Adele sings this song in her usual middle of the road vocal range, Angelina puts more feeling and stronger vocals to it. and in February of this year, Angelina recorded a song called "My Funny Valentine". the video is very simple but cute. she is recording herself in a store with the song being played over the video. notice in this video that Angelina is now 16 years old and is wearing blue eye contacts and how just the simple eye color change, changes her whole look !!!

you are right. she arranges her songs that are done with live music, and in this video she is 9 years old. if you pay attention to the video before she started to sing she had made a change to the arrangement and gave it to the musical director and he kind of smiled and laughed. any video you see of Angelina from here on out, just pay attention to how close she is to the original , but, how she adds her own twist to every song she sings.
