For those who may be interested, the song is _Jørgen Hattemaker_ by Alf Prøysen. Prøysen was a Norwegian composer, singer, author, actor, and more. He was born into the social class _husmannsstanden,_ who were peasants owing labor to a _bonde_ (major farmer), and probably the poorest and hardest working people in Norway, at a time when class still mattered greatly.
