Reading hundreds of comments one of them gave me an idea that rounded off after a comment on the video Angelina Jordan & Beyonce: "I'd Rather Go Blind" THE WORD THAT WOULD DEFINE ANGIE IS SPLENDOR, IT IS LIKE A MUSICAL LIGHT THAT ILLUMINATES, THE THE EFFECT THAT IT PRODUCES AT THE BEGINNING IS LIKE A "CANNON SHOT" OF LIGHT, THAT IS WHY MANY OF US HAVE BEEN SHOKED IN SONGS OR FEELING CHILLY. Many reactors when listening to so many singers continuously fail to perceive these sensations that we Angelina's angels feel by auditory frequency when listening frequently. Actually, Angelina's confidence was high going into NGT. But after those 4 performances and her landslide victory, she knew very well how talented she was. So this outdoor concert on the Norway/Sweden border is occurring about 3 months after her NGT win. She is seen as a National Treasure in Norway, so for the most part, she can do no wrong in their eyes. So what does she do? Just absolutely nails this very nuanced classic jazz song. I mean, except for maybe another performance by Angelina, I've never heard it done better. And that includes the original wonderful Grammy winning performance by the fabulous Dinah Washington. I put Angelina's performance right there with Dinah's. 💕

I also marvel at how English is not her mother tongue. Almost always you can hear some tiny smidge of an accent somewhere with somebody who has acquired another language instead of being born into it. But not here. Absolutely flawless English, which she deploys with masterful phrasing. We're so lucky to have her in this world.

This performance took place a few weeks after Angie won Norway's Got Talent so she was 8. I have been told that this venue holds around 7000 people. This video holds a special place in my heart since it was the first one I watched. Amazing how Angie can hold those beautiful notes for sooooooo long.

I can't help but think when I saw the back-up singers, someone asking them who did you sing back-up for and they say an 8-year-old. I know they really would have said, Angelina Jordan and have been really proud to do so. This is one of my top favorites. The venue is Fredriksten Fortress in the city of Halden,Norway. It close to the border of Sweden so the tv program is called Sing along on the border, its been broadcasted on TV2 Norway since 2007 and Angelina been a guest several times. The audience gets sheets of all the music played in the concert so they can sing a long and they also post the lyrics on screen so the viewers at home also can sing along.

Yet the 8yo AJ, isolated on such an island, with calm and her usual serenity, in front a bunch of people, swaying to and fro, closes her eyes and owns the whole shebang! A master lesson in stage presence from a 3rd grader! Wow just wow! Great reaction!

Fable, I completely agree with your reaction. Watching the expression on Angelina’s face there is no doubt that she is wholly immersed in the song and her delivery of it. She once said that when she performs she goes to her happy place in her mind. IMO, she is unequaled.

I made an MP3 of this performance and played it for friends and not only did they love it they were in disbelief when told it was an 8yo singing. Her ability to convey so much emotion at that age is amazing.

At the sight of that many people I think my eight year old self would have forgotten lyrics, lost all composure, pissed myself, and run off the stage crying.There may be singers that age with good voices, but to have the confidence, the stage presence, and the ability to sing in a style perfect for that genre by delivering spot on timing and phrasing, as Angelina did, must be without peer.
