Something messed up during my render...The stream\episodes are not that clunky of movement. Regardless, It does not take away from the emotion of the scene itself.
They did all the animation, sounds, music, production both pre and post, etc...
All Credit goes to them, I just pulled one of the most captivating scenes.

The red thirst, /the black rage thats a curse to the blood angels. His worried his going to fall to it. And he was sent to the death watch that has other chapter marines in it as he was struggling with the thirst.
@whitetiger5284
@whitetiger5284 Жыл бұрын
@@liam1666 the thirst and black rage are different. The thirst is just a vampire like curse where the blood angels desire drinking blood. Its something even their primarch struggled with. However the black rage is new. Post sanginous' death the gene seed was corrupted by the psychic backlash. Slowly all blood angels will start losing their minds, it makes them feel as though they were there. On terra, watching the death of sanginious with their own eyes. Seeing everything as horus. It drives them mad with rage and so they're sent to the blackwatch to die in battle. If they managed to survive after a certain period they're ritually executed. Typically anyway.

@@whitetiger5284 there is information that suggests the black rage existed before Sanginous, but after he was found and united with his chapter he pacified it, after his death it returned. don't remember specifically were I read/heard it but before Sanginous they were ruthless enough to make World Eaters go "chill brother"

For me the best representations of space marines are when they are at their most human. When they reveal that despite years/decades/centuries of warfare and loss, isolation from greater humanity and being conditioned to be killing machines that they still have hopes, dreams, fears and regrets is heartwarming and oddly inspirational. An eight foot tall killing machine hacking their way through aliens is cool, an eight foot tall killing machine hacking their way through aliens while secretly being terrified that they’ll die alone and despondent, too much of a beast to be accepted by the ones they call brother is fantastic.

It’s selective wiping. Missions and objectives. The Watch brothers are forcibly molded into a working team in a very short amount of time. Some get so bent out of shape they never leave the Watch. They become unable to live their old life the way they used to. Kazarian is a perfect example of this. Aloof and detached. Once you serve, a part of you never leaves the Watch. Its accurate to the lore, too. The black carapace which connects the marines movements to their armor is directly linked to their nervous system, so every minor movement, shift, and shudder should be reflected in the movements of their armor. People acting surprised at an Astartes warrior struggling with internal emotional turmoil clearly don't know much about them. Look at the Universe they live in, look at the horrors they face every single day of their bleak and violent lives, what they have to live with, and that's even more so for a chapter like the Blood Angels who have the curse of the black rage to deal with. The've been taken from childhood, forged into living weapons, the ultimate defense against humanity, yet forever apart from it. The bond of brotherhood is really the only comfort most astartes really have. Now imagine even being denied that in a universe like 40k. If Astartes are emotionless monoliths like everyone's making them out to be, half of them wouldn't have fallen to chaos during the Horus Heresy.

I bond with Tiro on a spiritual level. If its not for his quick readiness its def because he's ready to use that heavy bolter.

To add to all the lore related comments: This is one of the very few examples shown of a battle brother surviving their tour within the Deathwatch and returning to their Chapter, and retaining the pauldron to show for it. I only ever see one example of it in 40k codex lore. One of the reasons i used that for one if my models.

Even though it always says "And they shall know no fear" i'm pretty sure Fear is a vital part of survival. Soldiers without fear would only get themselves killed, and you don't want that for the emperors finest
@Ride420Dirty
@Ride420Dirty Жыл бұрын
The phrase "And they shall know no fear" I think, is meant to convey a mindset of courage and determination in the face of danger, not the absence of fear altogether. The idea is that these soldiers are trained to confront and overcome their fears, rather than being paralyzed by them. In other words, they may still feel fear, but they do not allow it to control them or their actions. It's a mindset that is essential for success in high-pressure situations, such as those faced by soldiers in battle. I do however agree with you entirely.

i mean part of the point of the setting is the flawed nature of the imperium. and part of the core of the space marines "story" is their trying to cling to a humanity that was ripped away from them. yes they can feel fear, but...almost never. essentially the only things that can inspire it are supernatural/forced states of fear, and yes it is a flaw.

The Astartes are truly privileged to speak doubtfully like this to each other, especially with their chaplain present. Imagine a random guardsman stating anything not entirely devoted to the Emperor or his squad. He'd eat a glove the size of his chest faster than he can blink.
