Sadly, many priests of today aren't taught Latin. Sheesh, my mom went to a Catholic school all 12 years, and she was taught Latin for four years straight in high school. This is how I learned the mass in Latin from her interpretation during masses over my years. She's 86 and I'm almost 57 yrs old on Jan.20!@@pragasamanthony3251

When I was 6 years old. I had a serious disease. I got my treatment at the Italian hospital in Damascus. They called me the miracle boy because my situation was hopeless but God saved me . There was a small church attached to the hospital and the nurses were lovely Italian nuns who showered me with love and tenderness. I still remember their shiny merciful faces. From time to time, they used to take me to the church. I watched Jesus paints and other beautiful sculptures. I was amazed at series of paints that portrait how Jesus tortured & crucified. That was a crucial part coz we don’t believe in that part as Muslims. Currently Im 34 years old. Most probably these nuns are resting in peace. I pray for their souls and for the soul of Doctor Mohamad Barmada who already passed away due to Cancer. Asking God to light their way (forever grateful). ❤️ Amen 🙏🏻

@@Randolph1233 Nah, as I mentioned, my background is Muslim. not practicing it but the faith is enormous. The thing you might not be aware of, Muslims believe that Jesus must come back to earth. He shall kill the anti-christ. As per the omen he will be killed twice and then the third time he will kill the anti-christ. After that( you will not love this part) he will destroy the cross and forbid the pork and give the justice to the world.

As I listened, I closed my eyes and imagined I had ventured into a large, Gothic cathedral somewhere, having come out of the crisp cold snow falling among the darkened pine forest I had trudged through then greeted by the warmth of soft candle light and thin wisps of incense of myrrh and frankensense. The place was empty but for the ghostly angelic choir singing praises as glints of moonbeams through the stained glass windows high above bathed the empty wooden pews in rich shades of green, blue, red and amber. I opened my eyes and behold ... the old smoky run down biker bar where I was listening through my earphones greeted me as did another stiff drink and a pool table.

first time i heard this song was on christmas of 2020. people came house to house doing christmas caroling, time they were singing didn’t feel real, made me feel as if i was free..filled me up with nothing more but joy. it was a once in a life time experience and i will never forget that feeling.

Angels We Have Heard on High "Gloria in excelsis Deo" (Glory to God in the Highest) is the Latin version of the song which tells of what the angels sang on the night of the Nativity, and a hymn using these words was used in the Christian church as early as the 2nd century. Telesphorus, who became Bishop of Rome in 129, stated that on the holy night of the Nativity the people should solemnly sing the Angles' Hymn at the publish church services. It is assumed by many that this hymn was undoubtedly one of the first purely christian hymns of the early church. The choral refrain in the carol Angels We Have Heard on High seems to have been taken from a Latin chorale of the late medieval period, while the first section is of French secular origin. In England the carol is called 'Westminster Carol" from the fact that it is often sung in the Westminster Chapel during the Christmas season. Even as an atheist who was educated in Catholic schools and raised in a Catholic family, I always like to come back to hymns for the relaxing, enriching, and nostalgic feelings they give. You can find such beauty in it.

I'm not a Christian, but when I was 10/11 I had a dream about somebody looking for me and this was the back sound. I heard this song very clearly and it made me feel peaceful. I'm almost 30 now and lately I had this dream again, but this time it was Jesus himself talking to me saying "come follow me". I kinda ignored that dream bcs I wasn't so sure either if it was really Jesus Christ. But then a month after, I had another dream about me writing '1 Corinthians 1:2'. I woke up, googled it, and it surprised me. Is it really God calling me? Because I'm sure as hell I had no idea about the Bible and its verses whatever they're called.

I remember singing this song when I was still in a choir and between 14-16, and even though I'm not a Christian anymore it still is a gorgeous song that has so many special memories

@@patrizio205 I've tried out multiple, including pagan ones, but now I've landed on somewhat atheistic. I believe there's a higher power, whether that's one or multiple beings, and different realms, but I don't believe in one entity in particular

I understand what do you want to say, but I also feel you need a solid ground, don't you think the same? Maybe reading some philosophical and theological texts will help you, faith will come by itself.

In my old school I was always waiting for December to come so that our teachers make us sing this carol about my jesus *nostalgia*, I love every christmas Carol it gives me a very better feeling and at that time 500 to 700 students sang that together can u think how good those days were but in my new school as it's not Christian we don't sing Christmas carols
