► I was sailing with my buddies last night, and we encountered a crew of Pirates who seemed slightly off. So I started recording midway through the interaction and found out very quickly they were using hacks and cheats in Sea of Thieves.

I play about 4 or 5 hours a day maybe 5 days a week. I have experienced this exact same thing twice in the last 2 weeks. Even have 1 recorded of them teleporting onto my ship via the cannons.

Yah it sucks that these players exist. The best thing to do is record it and send it in so they gets banned.

Literally last night i was robbed my fort of fortune by a dude that couldnt take damage and could one shot me every shot I hate it especially as a solo slooper

Unfortunately, this does happen from time to time in almost any online game. Hopefully, shedding more light on the situation will push the developers to take some action!

Honestly stopped playing a while ago because of the cheating, came back, went on a few good nights and then after one long one get all our loot stolen by cheaters... man makes you want to quit.

Sucks that nearly every game we play online has cheaters in some fashion, and the only way to truly escape it is to just play campaign games. Luckily the amount of cheaters I have ran into on Sea of Thieves has been DRASTICALLY lower after the EAC addition.

It really unfortunate that this happens. I play the game on PS5 and have had the same thing happen. Small island (I COULD SEE ALL SIDES) and POOF someone was there and started to steal my ship. Then each time I tried to get back to my ship, bang one shot, again and again and again. I logged off it ruined the whole night in the game. I want to play this game and want to engage in SOME PVP but there truly needs to be a rework as to how PVP is done and a stronger take on hacking. Safer Seas would be an option but you lose playing your own ship and lose out on (hopefully) meeting quality players. I trust that RARE takes this to heart. Apart from the hacking, I hope they will also address the toxicity of the community as well. Its lazy on the part of Rare nothing more.

I HAD THESE SAME PEOPLE ON MY SHIP LAST WEEK. Exact same gamertags, right down to the number. I was streaming on Twitch, so I downloaded the full interaction, which went pretty much exactly how yours went. Lots of profanity and slurs, we were pretty sure they were cheating, but we aren’t that good with PvP, so we weren’t entirely sure. Either way, filled out a Rare Support Request on the website, attached the video, and recieved a reply the next day that they were banned. The interaction was on the 18th, they were banned on the 19th

I was with Michael when this happened and they just appeared on our ship as we were at an ashen vault and were spawn killing us I was surprised I even killed one of them a few times I didn’t wanna hackusate

I unfortunately ran into the same crew last week. My brother has them recorded teleporting onto our ship. They were also very mad for us calling out their hacks.

I've seen bugs like some of these things, the other day I dived to a quest and teleported onto someone's brig. They were talking about me but couldn't hear my mic 😅

This literally happened last time my buddy and I played. It was beyond confusing wtf was happening. Checked both of the player accounts, both accounts only had about 50 gamerscore.

Glad the players got banned, but ultimately this does minimal to counter cheaters. Game is basically f2p from their standpoint, so they'll be back on in minutes. Until the game is off GamePass this will always be a problem.

Unfortunately, they even said they would just get a new account. The best thing I can do is make a video out of it so they do get banned. The more attention we all make about cheaters, the more likely Rare will do something. I mean, they put in the Anti Cheat Years later in the game, so hopefully, the more we discuss it, the more likely they will be to address it.

I dont get why people hide the names of hackers. Expose those players, if they get backlash its deserved 😂 maybe they will behave better (that is a STRONG maybe)

STRONG MAYBE. But at the end of the day, if we do nothing, then it will keep happening. The more we bring light to the issue, the less Rare can look away from it.

You know this is why we need private servers without other people on it just friends only and no not that one where you only get half of the rewards I want another server so you can play with your friends get the full rewards without other people just friends only

Yah that would take away from a core aspect of the game... being Pirates. I get the wanting to play with friends and truly if you are just wanting to sail with Friends then Safer seas should be the play.

Blatantly cheating, ran into a crew like this around 2 weeks ago in hourglass, I feel as if the anti-cheat is a bit janky right now with the launch of the game on PlayStation being prioritized currently over anything.

@@WDLetsPlay I think about it in a different way personally, Why have an anti cheat that can be bypassed? It still mixes experienced hackers with regular players. Yeah it might stop a lot of people from cheating but it's not the best anti cheat out there. It's better than nothing but it's still as if there isn't an anti cheat lol
