Cory Barlog stated that he will not put any DLC in God of War. He’s one of those guys who is actually on our side and feels adding content as a cash grab really hurts the gaming industry from a consumer stand point. We shouldn’t have to pay money for extra stuff that should’ve been in the game in the first place. Bonus items is one thing, but when you’re leaving critical elements out of a game and you plan to add those in later as a DLC? That is a poor marketing strategy and that’s why Cory didn’t take that route.

You know Joe isn’t lying when he says he hasn’t played the other games- cuz there’s no way Kratos would ever hurt Atreus. He murdered his other family, pretty sure he hates himself for that eternally.

I’ve played this and I’m sorry but this is just a straight 10/10. This is one of those games that don’t come along often. I sat there when I finished and was left speechless ana just said ‘wow’. I felt this was more enjoyable than other games I’ve played like Witcher and even last of us which was my favourite game before playing this

I gained so much more respect from Cory Barlog when I watched him react to the 94% rating on Metacritic. He cried. He cried. Something I personally have only seen a couple of times from Creative Directors. He was so fucking proud. Seeing that people like that actually care about how well their game does not for only the money, but for just the sheer joy of being able to create something that people will praise for years on end is amazing to see. We talk too much about all the negativity in the gaming industry. It can be shitty for a multitude of reasons, but it's so refreshing to see just a normal guy cry over a game he created because he never expected to get such a high rating off the bat. I think he should be praised for just showing humility. Well done, Cory. Well done.

I wish I could like this video a 2nd time now that I've recently played the game. On second viewing, Joe's critique absolutely nails it. Also nice to see the guys so enthusiastic, after so many disappointing releases since then.

Its a shame reviewers dont have time to truly take in a game how they are supposed to you can tell Joe did not have time because you can tell on the gameplays on the later end of the story that he doesnt have upgrades on health, rage and good armor. It means they rush through the game but even then they still got a really good review out of it. Props to you people can see the hard work you are putting in Joes. Single player > multiplayer games. No lootboxes, no microtransictions and a amazing game. People should support this too show you want those kind of games and not random shooters or sport games copy paste with small changes every single year which is full of microtransictions and Rng lootboxes like Cod, Battlefield, Destiny, Star wars battlefront, Fifa, Forza, Need for speed, Nba 2k, Overwatch & Gta online

I got so heated while battling a valkyrie on this game. After an hour of playing, on about the 16th attempt, I finally weakened her enough to finish her off. So in the heat of the moment, I ran towards her and the molten floor killed me... I have never felt like such an idiot in my life XD

Took me years to finally say this. I'm middle aged and been gaming over 3 decades. Been into g.o.w. since the beginning. Sadly this game isn't for me. I was writing why but the comment became a novel sized comment so I deleted it and made it smaller. Long story why but a few reviewers said it perfectly on y.t. I'm also late to review cause I slowly quit years ago due to not getting into the game. Every g.o.w. game I started and finished in one sitting. This game I kept putting it down, to slowly a hiatus til a few days ago. Got a ps5 and figured ok it's time! Still couldn't finish it and I quit playing a few days ago for good it seems. So I watched a 100% walkthrough instead. I waited 4 years to avoid spoilers and thought I'd get into it to see for myself. Figured it was just bad timing back in 2018...long story. Nope. I don't see 10-10 rating. I'd give it an 8 if that. The blueballs you get from so many unanswered questions to the ending....This new style attracted many new gen of players. But me an oldie from the beginning just didn't like it. I tried and tried out of loyalty. This wasn't a god of war experience. It was a whole other game altogether with the name god of war on the front.

This is by far my favorite GOW game out of all! It’s truly a masterpiece.. I’ve played it like 5 times now and each time I play it I just can’t get bored of it.. 🙌🏻

Game was pretty damn amazing. My only real issue was the recycling of enemy types. Remember this enemy? Whelp, now he's a fire enemy! And later he'll be a poison enemy! That got old really quick. As did many of the sub-bosses all being the same.

Just finished the main story. This game is a fucking work of art. A masterpiece in storytelling. 10/10. Everyone should experience this. It is that dam good.
