Back when wild world came out as a kid my mother caught me playing when I was supposed to be sleeping all the time (I've had chronic insomnia all my life). One morning she said "That's it. You're grounded from your ds for a week." And I said "But I have to water my turnips every day or they'll spoil!" And my dad looked at her and said "It's true, they will spoil. She'll lose a lot of money." My mom let out an exasperated sigh and said "Fine. BUT STOP PLAYING IT AT 2 IN THE MORNING!" Also, if my parents bought me a videogame and I *didn't* play it a lot, they'd yell at me to stay inside and play it so it wasn't a waste of their money lmfao. I never heard another kid say "Sorry I can't come over today, my dad says I have to stay on the computer and play my new game." They weren't perfect, but at least they supported my hobbies and cared about me having fun. Love 'em to this day.
