밑에 영어해석 외에 프랑스어 독일어 스페인어 이런식으로 해석을 달아놓으면 더 많은 사람들이 볼 수 있지 않을까 싶네요. 물론 다 기본단어라 영어만 봐도 알겠지만 사람에 따라 단어기억에 효과적인 방법중 하나가 모국어로 해석을 접하는거란 얘길 들어서.

Some Korean words have same pronunciation with Chinese / Hanja such as horse 말 馬 ma, lion 사자 獅子 shizi, rabbit 토끼 兔子 tuzi, animal 동물 動物 dongwu, crocodile 악어 鱷魚 eyu and so on..

animal in korean is somewhat similar to chinese, which is: dong wu edit: theres similarities b/t these countries cuz of the close distance

Dongmul and dongwu are Chinese characters. So the word Dongmul is come from old chinese. In pure Korean, animal is 짐승[jimseung]

Wait if.. If 개 is dog and 게 is crab, how are we supposed to differentiate between the two? I know we can if we have context but in some situations, there could be misunderstandings

ㅐ is different with ㅔ in actual pronounciation. i know their pronounciations are too simillar to catch and many young Koreans don't distingush both of them anymore. so, you can use "bow wow 개" or "side walking 게".

Koreans can't distinguish them with pronunciation either! 😂😂 So we usually call the crab with more detail . Example 꽃게 (small crab) 홍게(Red crab) 대게(King crab) .. Otherwise, you need context 😂

Context normally works! We use 강아지(puppy) much more for pet dogs. And we don't say 게(crab) that often , only for dinner menu🤣 So less confusion. But there are times we get confused. . So we ask "You mean puppy?" Or use body language (make scissors with fingers = "You mean crab?")

I’m definitely buying a notebook to write down everything and learn to not only memorize but use properly how to speak Korean better I’m actually mixed with Korean I hardly understand the language tho 🙁
