I can't believe I was pogging out of my mind when you discovered the tech and then 5 minutes later found out it was something you were meant to find and be kinda good at to get through a puzzle I can't wait to see how hard this gets

The fun part about this is I went a completely different way! Didn't even think to go towards the bubble wand and by the time I got it, I'm sure you could understand my surprise getting something so strong, and then seeing someone else get it as the first item.

This pixel art is wonderful i love how everything changes when you interact with it even the grass which i think its a nice touch, it makes the game feel more responsive like your really there, andnthe color palette is nice with the glowing colors Great video Olexa.

When it's a new game I like watching playthroughs but ONLY to what I've covered. I was watching Vinny play and had to cut the video so quick cause he went a completely different way I did in the beginning

Immediately reminds me of rain world. Not only is it a metroidvania, but you explore as a tiny defenseless but crafty creature in a hostile world, too. And thats literally just rain world. With Rain world being one of my favorite games of all times, if not MY FAVORITE GAME period, I might consider purchasing...

The only other metroidvania ive played was hollow knight. I was interested in this game though for its aesthetics. I find myself losing track of how much time im actually playing it 😅. I think i have 24 hours on it and i only got it last week. Finding all these hidden rooms and treasures has been so fun. And the puzzles are brilliant!

oh ill be the judge of that 🧐 🧐 I'm not a huge fan of metroidvanias (the concept of getting lost in a game doesn't really work with me that much) but damn this is a pretty huge exception I love platforming and I love the general concept of metroidvanias (contradictory, consdiering what i just said lmao), and this feels like it doesn't stray too far from that concept and I love it and having secrets in your secrets has always been a thing that makes my brain burst with dopamine

holy hell that bubble wand tech can surely circumvent like 95% of all puzzles, it works for movement in both directions and can be done indefinetly

Surprisingly it only circumvents a very reasonable number of earlier puzzles for reasons I won't get into. It's fun to solve those puzzle normally too, hehe.

It was intentional, because without it you can't access other eggs in unreachable areas. That's also why you see the humming bird added in the game to stop you bubbling around at all costs

So, if you can bubble down, couldn't you just catch yourself with a bubble at the apex of your jump? Instead of bubbling first and then trying to manoeuvre yourself into the trajectory of said bubble? Then with said method just jump straight up, bubble down, repeat? Immaculate vibes in this game btw, will definitely pick it up to experience it myself, thanks for the video!

I really enjoyed it, but it's not quite what everyone is making it out to be. Yeah it has secrets. You collect the eggs and then the rabbits, there's a prize for deathless and a few for speedrunning, but you can quite easily get through the crux of the game in a night or two, maybe a weekend. The ARG stuff simply isn't going to appeal to the majority of players and I can't really see myself playing this over and over the way I did with Hollow Knight; it's very much one and done for me.
