The hardest thing in life isn’t getting what you want; it’s deciding what you want. Agreed. Cooking with Evan was a solid ass series and he cooked healthy af too. Talked about fiber, magnesium, turmeric, other herbs and combining with meat and food for taste and health.

Great Video! Excuse me for the intrusion, I would appreciate your initial thoughts. Have you tried - Chireetler Deepest Relaxation Rule (do a search on google)? It is an awesome exclusive product for learning to grow muscle fast minus the headache. Ive heard some awesome things about it and my mate finally got amazing success with it.

Glad you pointed this out Anthony. I lost my dad when I was 2, never knew him. I have a 24 year old son, that would never have broke down like that. I've always been here for him. The way Evan was emotional, you would have thought his dad died, I'm so thankful that isn't the case and that Evan has that appreciation for his dad. It's awesome!

When he says “maybe I take that for granted” it hit me hard. I know exactly what he means. I’ve never seen him this vulnerable. I can relate. My father battled cancer for two years until he succumbed to his illness. This made me choke a bit. Such a wholesome story. Keep thriving Evan.

Unvek Oak it’s always humbling. Larger than life but he’s still human, he’s not afraid of his emotions. He’s not a hardcore meathead... he’s just a guy who gets along with his dad and lifts weights. The Animal and Universal guys are like that. Humble and real.

My dad passed away suddenly with brain cancer and lung cancer. He wasn't being honest with his doctor and hid it well. It's hard now hearing anyone speak on similar situations.

I’ve met guys like Evan’s dad. Those are the blue collar work horses who had trade skills in addition to smarts that made it easy for the next generations. Not many left.

I still dont get why nowadays blue collar are not paid so well over white collar. Blue collar has the most time consuming and physically intensive work. White collar had it easy and comfy and they get paid well? Why is society's reward system like that? I work in white collar environment btw.

I remember when Evan won the Eastern USAs in NY way back when, not sure what year that was but his whole family was cheering him on, he was just so damn BIG and complete . I was competing in that show as a lightweight and met him a few months later at The Nationals, he was working with Dave Palumbo at that time, as was i . Such a genuine and overall nice guy. Wish he would wear some safety glasses though, I’ve seen many guys get a sliver of metal in there eyes during my years in construction ... *WOW. I really needed to watch this. I used to be a huge gym freak but ever since I got older I've just become lazy, not eating right, not working out. I'm 30 years old and I used to work out all the time from the ages 12-23ish is when I started to slow down and just stop caring how I looked. But for the past year I been debating whether or not, instead of paying money for a gym membership that I could just make my own little gym in my home. All I really need is a few flat weights, some dumbbells, a bar and what not. And after watching this video, I'm definitely going to follow through with my plans and get my body back in shape!!*

His home gym takes me back about 39 years ago when I was 11. Same fake wood panelling. Basic bench with old rusted weider plates and we had an old ugly red carpet. Oh the good ol days! Great video! I met Evan roughly about 5 or so years ago when he made an appearance at World Gym in Scarborough, Ontario. Super nice guy!

See..now this is what I'm talking about. There should be more videos like this. Bodybuilders in real life. Living and thinking and talking like the rest of us who will never know what that life is like. But we work, raise kids, live the best we can and love the iron just like the first time it bit us. I'll be 45 next week. I still try to hit it like I was 15. Reality I cant. But I dont love it any less. Evan, I wish all lifters were as genuine and honest as you man. Much respect. You're a good man, one that all new iron addicts should look up to.

My dad is currently fighting cancer. Completely healthy, independent prior... the cancer metastasized to his left leg and it was amputated. Bodybuilding got me through potentially becoming depressed and stopped my anxiety from spiralling with everything that was going on in our lives... I could’ve started taking anxiety pills but didn’t because of BB. I get exactly where you’re coming from, Evan. Thank you for sharing 💕

He's always that calm and no matter how hard life can be I don't know I just admire him not losing his drive and his focus. I just viewed your video. I was a machinist for over sixteen years in Chicago and used to workout in my parents basement. I’m an Officer now but stopped working out for some time. I used to work for a small food market in Trumbull CT, and before I knew who he was there was this man who would always come in and was so down to earth in talking to me. This man would always encourage me to follow my dreams and go for my goals in life. Our conversations were so real and left an impact. The man I talked to was Evan. Evan and I went to the same highschool (I was 2 years ahead of him) and worked out at the same commercial gym that he first joined (Worlds). I didn’t know him very well personally, but we had a number of mutual friends and I can say he’s always been a pretty solid dude since HS. Glad to see not much has changed despite gaining so much popularity in the BB community.

Man where do i start or who knows if u even read this,but you knocked this one out the park!! From the basic basement to the machine shop it was all so REAL!! I have this machining background and love to train,but the 20 min mark got me deep. Cherish these times with your Dad and create those everlasting memories. i never had a chance to build this kind of relationship with my dad. he was diagnosed with MSA when I was abroad, and before i even left home i didnt "bond" with him. he was in a sense, "a king of his own empire" figure. when I got back, he was a weak, helpless man, not the person i had known, i know he had always helped me financially which made who i am today, but I always took that for granted. when he was telling the doc, nurses, that i was doing bodybuilding, he kind of looked proud.

It’s about 35 years i’m in the game ( believe or not, some titles and thropies in my back ...). I don’t wanna absolutely look cocky or else, nor talking like the ultimate “IKNOWEVERYTHING ego-maniac”(...), but I can assert with no doubts this guy is one among the best, true intelligent, humble, respectful, tenacious, spreading and sharing real knowledge of this world ever existed and ..ok ..I stop so not look I don’t know wat; but I really luv you Evan, the way you stay on the path and your vision and so much values you put inside; and I tell you in Italian ‘cause is in your surname - “omen nomen”(?)- : CENTO (100) E PIÙ ANNI DI GLORIA(!) This was badass. The artistic aspects, the emotionality, the editing, Evan just speaking his mind, and the overall delivery. Whenever Evan is the subject I feel like there is going to be something worth watching, and this was a real treat to watch all the way through. Whoever decided to have this as their project to put together, the collaboration with Evan, this was fucking awesome and I hope the team that worked on this will do similar projects in the future. Thanks for this.

Favorite bodybuilder of all times. Simple, calm, natural, old school, without artifice. What this world needs. I love his process and The Build series, he grow his garden, cook his food, build his gym - build his body. Rgds.

I'm so grateful that your dad has recovered from the cancer, and that you appreciate all that he has done for you. As you said, some of us never had that in our lives. Growing up, that was the biggest thing missing in my own experience. Although I never achieved anything near competition status, I've been a garage/basement lifter for over 40 years. As a policeman, I know that staying strong and in good shape saved my skin on many occasions. It's been the one constant thing in my life and undoubtedly allowed me to maintain my sanity over the years. This IMHO is one of your BEST videos! Thank you Evan!!!

One of if not the most humble bodybuilders out there. Such a genuine, good person. My favourite bodybuilder by far. Alot of respect for Evan. Met him a few years back too and such a gentleman.

Ive always liked Evan since i started lifting. Hes a great down to earth, humble , blue collar man we can relate too! His connection with his dad is great, not everyone is lucky enough to have that. Thanks Evan for being you , keep up the great work!!
