The kingfisher footage was brilliant,Dan. I haven’t had the pleasure of seeing one of these birds,for several years. I’ve heard it said that hedgehogs have a liking for cat food. I think that the foxes would eat either cat or dog food. It was an interesting experiment with the two different types of food, to see which of the two was most popular. I’m not a particularly superstitious person, but I do salute a magpie, even if I spot one when I’m driving. Over in Ayrshire, when people spot a magpie,they say,good morning mr magpie,rather than saluting the bird. Thoroughly enjoyed the vlog, Dan,many thanks.

The first footage of the bird was awesome & the deer, A lot of people think you need to go abroad to see the beautiful birds, but we have some great wildlife, ive even seen a kangaroo 🦘 was in the Lincolnshire area, didnt know England had a sanctuary 😮 i always salute a magpie but im seeing so many lately, awesome vlog Neil 👌💪❤

The Kingfisher footage was brilliant so clear what a colourful bird that was a great idea putting that trail cam on that branch. I thought the Badgers would have eaten the Dog food I'm really surprised they didn't. Mazzy found the food alright even with out looking that was funny was that the food between the two foods the Magpies where going for because Mazzy's footprint as you called it was between the two foods. Great experiment You could try the rabbits with a few carrots do wild rabbits like carrots domestic ones do but in the wild carrots grow in the ground so rabbits don't normally see them.

Maybe next time try dry food see if there is a difference!!! Great video Dan & Mazzy!!💕

Love your king fisher video that’s fantastic. The other video is also interesting maybe the animals are not hungry they are finding enough other things to eat. You may have more luck when the ground is frozen? Interesting experiment 👍❤️❤️❤️❤️

Lovely footage of the Kingfisher, worth the wait. The food in the middle, could it be from where Mazzy stood in it maybe? I think this time of year there is still a huge amount of natural food around so something alien to them can be ignored. It may be interesting to retry some of these experiments when there's a regular frost making foraging harder. Still lovely to see though for sure.

Buy some Worms from the Angling/Tackle shop. There not full of preservatives like canned food, & see if that works.....But dont keep them in Mazys fridge without telling her - cough...lol...

They must smell the chemicals in the food. Even Alan won't touch tinned dog food. He looks at you like you've shitinhis bowl

Dan-you touched all that ground cover with your bare hands. That could be why those badgers wouldn't settle down. Try rubber gloves next time. I like you uncovering that area because that uncovered dirt seems to attract them cheers!

maybe the magpie preferred the dog food as it could carry a bigger chunk away, as for them eating poo that needs to be your next trail cam experiment lol
