Just because Bugs dressed up in drag doesn’t mean he’s transgender or gender-fluid or whatever. He did it as a disguise to mess people. It was played up as a form of absurd comedy to get Bugs to win his conflicts, not as a form of trans allegory. And if you’re going to apply this woke logic to Bugs Bunny, then you might as well do it to other famous cartoon characters that have dressed up in drag, like Daffy Duck, SpongeBob, and Eric Cartman. Besides Stephen Hillenburg said that he views SpongeBob as asexual so they don’t focus on romantic subplots, as well as escape controversy from Christian conservative groups. Amazingly enough, I never thought about whether a cartoon rabbit had a prick or snatch. I mean, back in the days when they had ways to handle this chaos, it was never really brought up. If we wanted to know if a rabbit really was male or female you would just flip the thing over and look for a sign. Never once has anyone ever been cancelled by a rabbit. Why is this even a focus? Usually for genderfluid/genderqueer characters, I just go by whatever pronoun is used in the media, and in that case Bugs would mostly go by he/him. I'll also point out that in real life, I usually find that they/them is fairly safe (it's even safer to avoid pronouns all together, but culture and language is sometimes awkward about that), but people will let you know what pronouns are preferred if asked (source; closest friend is genderfluid and trans). In both cases, pronouns aren't really an indicator of gender identity, especially if someone has a multi- or fluid gender identity, or uses a pronoun out of convenience (example; someone identifying as a male but using feminine pronouns due to femboy or drag lifestyle/dress).
