yeah there are 3 rotoscoped animations. The breakdance one, the Dive and the skateboard one. i did them to get a better idea about realistic motion.

What's the best way to start off animating? I've grown up watching anime and I've always wanted to pursue animation but have no experience :(. Any thoughts or advice?

Just grab an animationsoftware and dive into it. Do not be afraid to draw and enjoy it. I suggest to download macromedia flash 8.

Overall almost 11 years... I've been using pivot for 9 years before i decided to animate fullbodies. These are a few of my works of the past 5 months.

rotoscoping is the term of tracing over serveral drawings and capture the pictures with lines. i used it on 3 animations within this compilation. the breakdancing guy, the dive and the Skateboard animation. Those were fun practices and i learned a little about motion in reallife.

you can basically use any 2D animationsoftware. you could use: TVpaint, toonboom harmony, macromedia flash 8, adobe animate, etc. just google them. i personally use clip studio paint ex

@KnightHart seeing as this guy works in the anime industry and has over a decade of experience, you can't say ALL his work is traced, although the some shots are clearly referenced and rotoscoped. most of this has a distinct art style and seems very original.
