I don't know how likely it is, but I would love if you would consider doing a reaction video to the fight scene choreography of Monty Oum. To this day still one of my all-time favourite choreographers, he just understood how to make fight scenes in such a unique way that I still don't think anyone's been able to quite match. His Red vs Blue fights and RWBY fights are great, but even his solo Dead Fantasy and Haloid series are worth looking at. Absolute legend of a man, rest in peace Monty.

My reccomendation is the *Viviano Westwood* fight from *part 6* , as that one has the most hand to hand combat out of all the post-part 3 fights in Jojo's (at least out of the ones that have been animated) and it's sick as hell.

Hey, Seth awesome video, that running thing that you see in many movies where the body is halfway bent over and the hands are just by the side or behind is actually a real technique of running used by the old Japanese samurai and Shinobi and it's actually pretty simple and makes a lot of sense, You use gravity to help you run without putting any effort in but simply start by letting yourself fall forward and at the last moment you take a step, which brings you forward and prevents you from completing the fall, and as you continue to fall and continue to step at the last moment you keep on going forward instead of down hence you're running without effort, the closer you are toward the ground the faster you will go, but you have to find the right balance between the falling and the stepping. If you'd like I can send you a video on how that method works
@phantomstarlight1366

Yeah, it's always kinda bothered me that people seem to think that style of running was created by Naruto. I know nothing about any real world application, but I've seen it around even before Naruto was first published.

unarmed martial art anime: 1. Grappler Baki (seasons 1, and season 2: tournament) + Baki 2018 (season 3: another "tournament", but it's a bit different, lol) + Baki 2019/2020 + Baki 2021/2022 2. History's Strongest Disciple Kenichi (~50 episodes, I think) (+OVA sequel of 12 or 24 episodes): it's like Baki in that it starts out kinda slow (again school punks / nobodies, and then kicks up to the real fights and badass characters, it's a really good martial art anime. Unlike Baki, Kenichi starts out as a normal student, not knowing any martial arts at all and hates violence and fighting... but he becomes really powerful MA fighter, grins) 3. Tenjou Tenge: really good MA anime with a really good story/plot... basically it was about trying to see or create who is the ultimate warrior: taijutsu (physical) vs ninjutsu (magical) martial artist // if you seen any of naruto... should be familiar to you... but there's a lot of other stuff going on, too... grins 4. Ikkitousen (5 seasons of it): it's basically the 3 kingdoms historical figures getting reincarnated over and over again, doomed to keep reliving their history/fates, except... most of them are reincarnated into females... and it's a fighting-school setting... it's really quite brutal... despite being girls, they're vessels/avatars for male warriors, so they love to fight, not caring at all about their female bodies (lots of fanservice, lol)... 5. Medaka Box (+2nd season: Abnormal): while this starts off as seemingly a fanservice anime, it's really not.. there's a lot of martial arts in it, so it's hard to decide whether this is a martial arts anime or an anime with martial arts in it, as it has some other deep themed content in it too. Medaka Kurokami has to copy/mimic humans in order to fit in as a human, as she's not human, she's a god-monster... She's literally the female Goku, and beyond... She doesn't merely go into super saiyan mode or ultra instinct mode, she goes into warrior god mode... The only reason there's fanservice, in Medaka's own words (well, paraphrasing): "I am sexy and beautiful, why would I deny others from enjoying the beautiful and sexy sight of my body? I have nothing to be embarrassed or ashamed about", lol. It gets much darker and much more brutal, but the beginning is a lot of fanservice comedy... being introduced to Medaka Kurokami... but there's a big story and plot taking place... that slowly gets revealed... 6. Naruto (+Shippuuden, +Boruto): while not really a martial art anime, it's got so much martial arts and so insanely good martial arts, I'm putting it here anyways, lol 7. Dragon Ball (+Z, +GT, +Super): not really a martial art anime, but it's martial arts galore, lol. Got to include it here, lol --------- armed/weapon (mostly swords) martial art anime: 1. Samurai Champloo 2. Afro Samurai 3. Rurouni Kenshin (+ origin story OVAs, US title: Samurai X, parts 1-4/1-3, meh) (+live actor movies, best live actor movie of anime, the fight choreography is fkn insane...) 4. Sword of the Stranger (epic fights and its choreography and very violent anime film-movie) 5. Moribito: Guardian of the Sacred Spirit (Balsa, and her teacher, are fkn insane spear users... fkn most badass spear combat/choreography of all time! Balsa's so badass. Balsa is pretty much the female Kenshin, she's killed so many men, now she's trying to save the same number of lives that she's killed... yikes... lol, that's more than a lifetime of redemption... lol. This is really an amazing anime with really good graphics and music as well as awesome fights, though there's actually only a few fight scenes, they're really good. The main story/plot is kinda lame, as it deals with stupid supernatural stuff, but learning about Balsa is really it's real story/plot, lol) 6. Ga-Rei: Zero: it's all about Yomi, she's damn good with a sword, grins. Not a martial art anime, but I'm putting it here anyways, because the swordsmanship martial arts is such a big part of this anime, especially Yomi, grins 7. Blood+ (and Blood C: just for the fighting only): this is also not really a martial art anime, but the swordsmanship of Saya, is why I'm putting it here anyways, Saya is "the samurai girl", as a character will call her, lol (actually he calls her "the samurai man" for quite a while, not knowing its a she, lol). This is an epic science anime, but it starts off seemingly like a horror anime, but it's not a horror anime at all... but it takes awhile to get into the main story and plot, where it explodes... it's 50 episodes... one of the best animes of all time, but no one knows or it anymore, sighs 8. Highschool of the Dead: I'm putting this here too, as it's got lots of martial arts, even though it's not a martial arts anime, Saeko Busujima's swordsmanship alone, is all we need, grins. Saeko is so fkn badass, grins ------ anime with martial arts in them: 1. Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex 2. Full Metal Alchemist 3. Full Metal Alchemist: Brotherhood 4. Full Metal Panic (4 seasons) 5. Soul Eater 6. Birdy the Mighty Decode 7. Phantom: Requiem for the Phantom 8. Death Note 9. Gunslinger Girl: Triela is a fkn beast, don't let her hit you! (and also Pinoccio has some serious skills too) 10. Witchblade 11. Goblin Slayer: he has some serious martial arts abilities (along with archery, throwing, and swordsmanship/melee abilities, he's an expert in all forms and distances of combat, lol) 12. Canaan: Alphard Alshua is so fkn badass... ya, Canaan is too, but got to love Alphard Alshua, grins 13. DanMachi: Bell's quite the knife wielder and also becomes good at martial arts (along with Ais being really good at martial arts too) 14. Cowboy Bebop: there's a lot of fkn insane martial arts in this.. grins -------- another MA/MMA list (includes a lot from above, but has some new ones in it as well, too lazy to go through it, so just posted this list, even though it has a lot of the same animes as seen above) 1. Ikkitousen 2. Tenjou/Tenjho Tenge 3. History's Strongest Disciple Kenichi 4. Medaka Box 5. Naruto 6. Bleach 7. One Piece 8. Full Metal Alchemist 9. Full Metal Alchemist: Brotherhood 10. Akame Ga Kill 11. Kill la Kill 12. Killing Bites 13. Moribito: Guardian of the Sacred Spirit 14. Rurouni Kenshin 15. Samurai Champloo 16. Afro Samurai 17. Highschool of the Dead 18. If Seth ever reads this. Context for the black armor the guy grows it's suppose to be graphene from my understanding. And graphene is the basis for carbon fiber. Theoretically graphene should near indestructible. However in this universe alchemist exist that can magically alter the chemistry of things so he turn graphene into simple carbon which is very soft.

I think Seth would enjoy the fight scenes from Link Click. Some of the characters have powers, but they aren't always used in the fights, so sometimes it's just cool hand to hand fighting ❤

The Ranma 1/2 series is loaded with fight scenes. Ranma and Akane's family use a form of Mixed Martial Arts that they call "Anything Goes Martial Arts." Ranma and Genma fight a lot as father and son or as panda and daughter. Ranma's main rival is Ryouga Hibiki, who uses a weighted bamboo umbrella and bandanas as throwing stars. Tatewaki Kuno attacks Ranma with a bokken sword. The list goes on for comedy effects throughout the series. Later in the series, it does get crazy with the Ki/Chi power attack after the Chinese Amazon Elder, Ku-Lon or Cologne, arrives. Fist of the North Star is an old-school anime that has martial arts in a post-apocalyptic setting.

Really fun and I do appreciate you go into the good parts of the fighting and not get hanged up on the super powers they all have becuse martial arts are build into it like how Avatar did, they got it from this shows in Japan. I will also voice for Hajime No Ippo that is very grounded for being an anime, they still add stuff to make it look more impressive then it is but they do keep with real boxing. Some say Ippo vs Sendo 2 the battle of champion titel. But I would suggest Ippo vs Kobashi, a battle between a heavy hitting boxer who gose for KOs while the other is a careful going for score and clinching technic. And also Ippo vs Miyata second spar. Easy but impactful.

Glad to hear Kengan Ashura is on your radar but Kenichi: History’s Mightiest Discipline and Hajime No Ippo are the other two anime with AMAZING fights. Ippo Makunouchi Vs. Yoshiaki Mashiba From Ippo and Kenichi vs Hermit (not the teaser on the bus, the full fight at the abandoned church) are legitimately some of the best Anime fights of all time

Highly recommend you reacting to Hand to hand fighting by Hobbes Sakuga. Compilation of greatest animated fights hand to hand combat from anime. Cowboy bebop and Hajime no ippo also. Hajime no Ippo is 10/10 anime focused not only on fighting but on boxing in general. I was so in love with that anime that i bought myself a punching bag. It showed my beauty of martial arts. And in conclusion your channel. Im a big fan!

Pankration has a nasty one hand choke that was used in competitions, where you push your fingers into the throat right behind the adams apple, and completely squish the airway. Does take significant grip strength to do real damage, but even with a weak hand, it is extremely debilitating. You also press your fingers into the carotid artery simultaneously as you wrench the adams apple forward and dig your fingers into the throat, which can choke someone literally and do damage as well.
