Great video, i didn't know our niche little hobby had youtube videos being made about it! The community has really been blowing up in the last year or so, glad to see so many people joining the facebook and discord (the latter of which is actually just the video game vinyl server with an anime channel). There's also a reddit group i moderate, but it's not quite as popular. Trying to find releases on Japanese auction sites is one of my favourite parts of this hobby, and i've documented quite a few releases on discogs. There is a lot more out there than people might expect on first glance. Releases for Fate, Monogatari, numerous idol shows, higurashi, etc etc. And with the amount of labels jumping on the bandwagon anime vinyl might become just as popular as video game vinyl within the next few years. Guilty Crown is the only one you mentioned i'm still looking for, quite elusive. They're usually sold for around 200$, maybe a few times a year. Even at those prices it tends to sell quickly. Maybe there will be a full soundtrack release at some point.. I'll definitely subscribe, very cool! Thank you!

With all the Sawano love that's going around with multiple pressing on some of his works, it would be really nice to see a Guilty Crown LP. I gotta look into that Higurashi one though!

np and that black and white burst is extremely fitting for the series. TigerLabs is making a Death Note boxset with all 3 of the soundtracks volumes though. They're calling it the "Apple Edtion" so I'd keep my eyes out for that.

So I just subbed dude enjoy the content you're the first channel I found that talks about records and anime vinyls and that speaks more on me being new to this space but regardless I want to see you succeed and continue to follow your content man. It looks like you're just getting going on KZfaq so if you don't mind a little advice, get another light to illuminate the space behind you some so that you can see your outline better/sharper, how you have it now your outline kinda blends into the back ground darkness of the room. Anyway that's all keep up the good content. SUBBED !

I got my mitts on the "Golgo 13", "Devilman: Demon Bird", "Wicked City" and "Urotsukidoji: Legend of The Overfiend" soundtracks from Tiger Labs, I like their stuff (Though like Retro Release Video and their recent VHS', they take forever to ship), along with the (Not anime, but still awesome) "Metal Slug 3" and "Halloween Kills" soundtracks.

I've been starring at those exact soundtracks on TigerLabs for some time now, especially Wicked City! I'm just not that familiar with those series just yet lol and TigerLabs does like their horror. Tony Giles is someone on the their team and he loves the Halloween soundtracks. He's got a channel called "The Record Room" and he talks about some of the first Halloween's pressings. Also, listening to Metal Slug 3 now and damn its good! xD a lot funkier than I was expecting! I'm like, seriously blown away rn

@@MusicInAnime Yeah, I noticed that with TigerLabs as well (I'm big into horror myself, so course I love old school horror anime), hoping for one collecting the Violence Jack OVA soundtracks, especially "Harem Bomber". The Wicked City one I have is the reprint version with the original art cover and not the one with the spider lady and the tentacles (That's a whole lot of nope on the cover) XD I also managed since I made the comment to not only get my hands on the TL "Demon City Shinjuku" vinyl, BUT also "3x3 Eyes" (Which I love the series, think it may be one of the subscriber ones, the ebay listing said the LP is grey and blue splatter, correct me) AND "Tokyo Godfathers" as well (The transparent orange and clear LP as well). My current white whales from TL is "Hunter X Hunter" and, naturally, "Berserk". And you'd like the "Halloween Kills" soundtrack, best one of 2021 if you ask me, especially the track "Unkillable".

@@MutaScale The repress of Wicked City is the one I have my eyes on lol That 3x3 Eyes variant you have is, in fact, TL's Sub Exclusive. And, since you're a fan of Go Nagai's works, there's a record label in Italy that pressed a record with 70's anime background music and it has some Devilman tracks on it. The new Evangelion one is a nice suprise since it will be 30€ for it. Most of the good ones out there cost so much (90 or more) wich is insane. Would love to find a SnK one at a regular price. Same for a lot of soundtracks from games (mass effect for exemple).

The only one I really beat myself up on(that was listed) is Elfen Lied because it was available on Amazon(legit) but I put it off, and now I can’t find it anywhere. The other one I am upset about is Blood Battlefront Blockade(1st season). I got the Mondo version of the standard edition of Attack on Titan which is red with black burst marble effect). RightStuf still has their Cowboy Bebop vinyl available to preorder but it is coming out in December.

@@simsloveeternity8454 When I saw their tweet, I LOST IT. Next year is gonna be the year of Evangelion. The Blu-Ray announcement already had me excited but the LP?.. If they do a trifold with each disc colored to represent the prototype, Eva 1 & Eva 2 ?? That'll be clean. But, they'll most-likely capitalize on it, keep it a bifold and do multiple variants like we saw with Bebop. And I am NOT complaining lol see what I did there? with the "not" lol

For anyone just getting into vinyl, I always recommend the Audio Technica LP60X. You don't need to calibrate anything, it's a very simple set-up. It has a built-in pre-amp so you can plug it into any set of speakers (just make sure the switch on the back is set to "Line") and there's a model with Bluetooth if you wanted to connect wirelessly. The heavier the record player, the more stable it's going to be and this one has some decent weight to it. It also has a fully automatic function. You press a button and it'll move the tone arm to play the record and when it's done, go back to the tone arm rest. (I'm super jealous about this function lol) Yeah, it's a solid record player that'll last you a while too. I do like Saint Seiya's soundtrack! I love the sound of the 80's soundtracks. The ballads are always the most endearing to listen to. And I'd like to do some dives into Artists at some point. I have no idea when I'd get around to doing something like that but I'll definitely put Ikuko Noguchi on that list (:

would kill for the OG Eva soundtrack. At least I got the Mondo version of Eva Finally and luckily bought the limited 3.0+1.0 One Last Kiss 12 inch single which thank the gods for that. my big hunt is the OG pressing of Samurai Champloo, the bootlegs keep taking over to the point its hard to tell what is legit or not.

Eva won't have the sticker but they are different color variants for the US and EU. Don't know what they look like yet though. ALSO, Fat Jon (One of the Producers who worked with Nujabes) he released an instrumental album titled "God's Fifth Wish" a couple weeks ago and there's an LP for that. So if you're looking to add some of that Champloo sound, I'd check that out.

I think it's difficult to find these records anywhere. I'm not sure if CD Japan ships to Greece, but if you're looking to get the Madoka Magica one they currently have a backorder listed on their website. So you can check that out. Also, Evangelion might also be getting a repress.
