Not everyone knows the full extent of what's going on, and if I recall the vast majority of the world only knows what rimuru wants them to know. This battle against the church was honestly the seven clergy guys attempting to manipulate rimuru into killing Hinata for them, since they couldn't do it themselves.

And like.... enthusiastically. He's on this level, and not only does he serve Rimuru, but demons don't serve people who are weaker than them. His reverence and fervor about being subordinate to Rimuru should be proof enough that Diablo knows he's no match at all for Rimuru. He's treated his service of Rimuru as a profound opportunity to be aligned with this transcendent being, and if Diablo is that strong and he's had that attitude about serving Rimuru, you would probably do best to understand the power dynamic happening there before you start to think about opposing either of them. Even if you found a way to best Diablo, Rimuru would be absolutely pissed, because he doesn't use his subordinates as disposable pawns. He'd be more pissed that you harmed someone he cared about than that he lost a powerful tool, and that's a different kind of rage.

He was just trying to summon some demons to help him with the power he needed to do his massacre, but Diablo had had an encounter with Shizue and was watching her, so when Rimuru took over and easily handled the spirit she couldn't, he was even more interested. The first time he summoned a demon previously, Beretta jumped the line so when he tried to summon demons for his massacre, Diablo was determined to be the one summoned. He insisted immediately that as part of their summoning pact, Rimuru make him his subordinate.

Actually he had a "name" before Rimuru named him. He was Black, one of the Primordial Daemons: seven demons who have existed since the dawn of existence who are traditionally referred to by the color associated with them. These colors aren't actually Names in the sense of a named monster having a name, but sort of titles, so they don't have a power increase associated with them, but the Primordials are already considered to be at a higher level than any other demon in the first place even without names, so just being a Named Primordial is already terrifying. In order to name something that strong, you have to be much stronger still. Diablo insisted on service because he immediately recognized how powerful Rimuru was and viewed it as an opportunity to align himself with that. It's kinda nonsense how intent the humans are about opposing Rimuru, because he's already not something they could hope to beat with the methods they've been using at this point. I don't think I read the LN past the point we're at in the anime right now, so there may be humans stronger or more dangerous than Hinata, but I'm not aware of anything the humans have up their sleeve that could really oppose Rimuru at all up to this point.

When they were about to leave Inggrasia, Violet noticed she ran out of magicule to keep up with her disguise in the physical world. So she called Rain asking her to pick her up by pretending to be the cat's owner. Rain was wearing exactly the same outfit, implying that she came right after Diablo dealt 7 Days Clergy
