12:22 this was kinda unfair to Rudeus tho. It was not because she loved both at the same level but because she thought Ariel needed her help while Rudeus doesn't, this is definitely something Sylphie shares with Eris and it is like they think Rudeus could do everything. Even if Sylphie helped him with his ED, she probably thought the would eventually get it fixed either way.

This episode was pretty good already, but episode 17 (the next one) absolutely triumphed it and easily made it the best episode of Season 2 so far, and the only episode that might top it is turning point 3, which I'm very hyped about!

I feel like the Journey with Norn and Ruijerd will be an extra episode like Goblin Slayer Eris, I've noticed the show doesn't put much attention into people other than Rudeous unless it's immediately important/Flashback

I'm trying to catch up with the anime as i want to start over from the beginning to experience it all as intended.

Ty again aninews for doing your cut content, especially with the 2 sisters (Norn and Aisha) let me be clear before start my little ramble, although I prefer Aisha over norn in a heartbeat, (due to first appearance, and with her lore as a character) I don't hate/dislike Norn, but I don't see why she struggling so much or receiving so much attention (imo) despite the lack of negativity that was thrown to Norn in the anime. Should barely resulted in her "shut in" situation, in fact that kind of negativity is being given to Aisha by Norn grandma and etc, but she still manages to smile and hid her sadness, despite being hurt more then she let on (from the anime pov although it was short as well for context ) Again Norn in the anime (none from the manga/ source material) got too much attention for a situation where she got little to no bully, (no physical, emotional, or mental discomfort was thrown at norn ) only praise for her brother. The fact that norn didn't ask at all on what that was because she was more confused on the part of (If my brother was physical to Paul, he probably due that to everyone) was not mention at all to norn had her shocked more. Although Aisha outscale Norn as children, Norn upbringing with paul and his friends surprised me as being with Norn Grandmother should've hurted Aisha more then Norn (Etc noble vs servant, mistress vs wife status, talent vs ordinary) if Norn had indeed suffered as much as Rudeus, I'm surprised Norn could forget all that and still remember the part of what Rudeus had done despite Paul despite paul trying to explained the situation to norn when she was older. Paul had a fantastic unit that help him look for those who got scattered in displacement incident and I don't think they would cause trouble for Paul at all so she wouldn't be so reclusive, especially if Paul had to be out and he had to leave her for a bit with those he can trust (before paul lost hope) P.s due to the cut content, despite what the anime shows us of the smol teasing Aisha did with Rudeus, I'm surprised that Aisha was more physically toward norn. The reason why I say this is because Aisha is better then Norn, but despite that, being a half sister especially to Rudeus, and if u add in how Lilia decided to raise Aisha despite the other route she could've taught her, it wasn't enough to wash away the dissatisfaction Aisha has over self, her mother and against norn. Aisha has the qualities of a maid (yes child labor is wrong but she so proud of that or find some enjoyment out of that/due to Lilia probably) Aisha is still feelinginferior to Norn due to the lack of effort her sister would constantly show around her especially when the two are together. Aisha still feels that her birth, cause her mother was a #2, won't change in how those see her and her mother, and she assume Rudeus would do so on some scale Hence that is why when I Saw Aisha crying to Rudeus over the "prefer treatment" when she to him "is it because of" I was rooting for Aisha all the way in compassion. Thet scene hit way harder then with the Rudeus and norn only scene (sorry Norn fam) where the two finally talks at Norn room, but that just my 2 cents, Again thx again aninews for the info on the 2 that then anime cut out

I know I’m glazing but if your an anime only this channel is actually so nice to have some extra background. Also I have a question but it’s spoilers for anime only’s so stop reading if you care. I remember there being a few chapters that was looking at Eris’s life learning sword styles under a master but it’s not being shown in the anime which is understandable, just wondering if there was more show with that in the web novels.

The sword-fighting is obvious, since Paul and Lilia both have considerable expertise there, but what about all of the magic? Tracking the timeline, I guess Roxy has been with Paul's group for over a year now, but did Aisha learn everything from her during that time, or was there more?

I like Sylphie but I'll always see Roxy and Eris as more important. They earned it. Roxy spends like 6 years searching for Rudeus and his family (and nearly dies in the process). Eris spends a similar amount of time with Rudeus (fights along side him, consoles him, etc), then leaves for the Sword Sanctum and spends like 5 years getting stronger for his sake...... (Much later she does hear the whole story from Soldat and apologizes to Rudeus. It was a pretty heartfelt scene in the light novel)...

Yeah, tbh I'm bothered how the writers/director/idk are treating Eris in Season 2. I didn't read the LN, but I'm reading the manga and he constantly reminds of Eris (like, when he was with the other party, after the night with Sylphy or the fight with Luke). Seems like the anime wants us to "forget" about her, like she's not coming back, her story is finished. And a lot, if not most, people know that's not the case, she is VEEEEERY important (don't want to spoiler though). Still, really weird the anime is taking this direction. Why is Lilia not sent to Rudy with Aisha and Norn I don’t think Paul’s letter mentions her even does she ever even come up again in the story?

You know even though we know she meant she had to leave to get stronger for him, she is still way in the wrong and it’s fine for him to be mad. He trained her, kept her safe, moved the group forward and basically died once protecting them, they shared a night together and then she abandoned him with just a note. That is a horrible thing to do. It ruined years of his life and could have done so longer if he didn’t luckily come across his children friend. She did a very bad thing

It's good that Rudeus talked to Ruijerd a lot more than shown in the anime, but even in the books he didn't mention Nanahoshi being there and wanting them to meet? Just seems too important given the first encounter... And Rudy can barricade the door w/ magic, but apparently using magic to sound proof is beyond his abilities, lol. Poor Aisha.
