I know rudeus's staff is more efficient to waste less magic while doing spells. but man is it satisfying to see him use magic without it.

You forgot that Rudy used air magic to fill his lungs with oxygen after orsted collapsed his lungs.

About hearing Nanahoshi's name before, in the light novels he ate a dish he rather liked called (something) Nanahoshi Style at a Millis restaurant. Another thing, in the novels and manga for the event, Orsted was rather positive and chummy talking to them until Rudy mentioned Hitogami.He is pretty nice guy.

Orsted technically saved all of them by absorbing Rudeus's nuclear fireball attack with his dragon gate. The fireball could've destroyed half of the mountain they all were on.

I always love how these videos always make it feel like we're getting two episodes of Mushoku each week.

I loved the change having Eris try a fireball. It felt like such a great character moment between her and Rudeus.

I've realised that in the past few episodes you've been using more genshin music since that sponsorship, and I actually think that it fits.

Just realized the importance of the ending animation and how it depicts Rudeus to what Orsted said about not knowing Rudeus!

I was hyped when he used some basic chemistry on Orsted. Even his shield that seemed powerful wasn’t a match for the law of conversation

This episode was a banger. Watching it, I Couldn't wait to see what we missed. It was packed to the brim with lore

I love the small details this episode had. Rudeus seeing his lungs getting crushed and later his own death through his demon eye, the ice in the background melting when Rudues charges his fireball attack, how the fireball actually changes it's colour (related to some aspects from real life chemistry but with certain magic elements) and many more tiny details.

"A single dragon is tough to handle" Rudeus: 👀

Just got through reading a spin off series of Mushoku Tensei called "Old Dragon's Tale" that sheds new light on certain aspects of this part of the main story. I'm impressed by the level of world building the author has put into his work, and how well it all fits nicely together. FYI, don't look up Old Dragon's Tale unless you're already familiar with the entirety of the main Mushoku Tensei storyline. It's chock full of end story spoilers and core world lore that would ruin the story if you read it too soon. It's well worth saving as a reward once you finish the story, though.

The reason he switched to fire magic was because of how supplying mana to the spell changed its properties. With Stone Cannon, applying more mana would only increase the density of the projectile where as fire would directly increase its destructive potential. He'd also be able to focus on the raw speed of the fireball instead of speed+rotation for the stone bullet.

you forgot to mention that he scrached orsted hand with the stone bullet. and that nanaoshi's black hair was what called rudeus attention in the beginning. he has never seen anyone with black hair in this world

The only thing that was missing was rudeus attempting voice magic. Which only caused orsted to flinch.

Amazing video loved the breakdown of Rudeus’s thought process in battle. It goes to show how much potential he has for the future and just how far in skill he has grown.

It is funny to see how in the past Rudeus would use his silver tongue to resolve most stuff , but now it just put him in more troubles , he needs to learn golden silence , hope to see a scene with Eris and Ruijerd chewing him for speaking to orsted , if he kept silent , things would not had gone sour .

Can't wait to see turning point 4 get animated took the series of a 10/10 to a 11/10 lmao can't believe they managed to raise the stakes so perfectly in the middle of the series right when it was needed.

The main thing I felt was different was the fact that they were walking when they met Orsted instead of riding a carriage😅 Nevertheless, the episode was an absolute banger

by comparing how different the level of ferocity he used the spear jabbing technique on his sparring with Eris earlier in the episode to how he used it against Orsted, you can see the desperation and effort that is required when dealing with someone like Orsted

I'm 100% reading the manga and the light novel when this season ends. I don't think I can wait for another season

What i like about this anime is very progressive and the fight scene is very straight forward, nothing like talking or having a thoughts for every moves that literally took minutes watching while it only took a sec for them.

See, they should've added more dialog in the Anime, because now I understand why Rudy was so comfortable with Orested.

Well the other thing worth mention is that even if Orsted defeated Rudeus his display of insanely powerful magic (and the fact that he was capable of doing something that even Rjeard couldn't which was to hurt Orsted even if it was a little), make Eris feel like she was not worthy of Rudeus, that she wasn't at his level and wouldn't be able to fight along side him as she was at that moment, being this the reason that makes her leave Rudeos behind to find her own path and power, but only with the intention to comeback to Rudeus being the best possible version of herself.

I love how much they hide the world building and how much though process is not talked about it just makes it feel more realistic than ever keeping us in the dark as well as giving us enough to make the suspense even more rewarding

Fun fact; purple fire is only theoretically possible, and would burn somewhere around 71 thousand degrees Fahrenheit. Our sun burns at around 8500 degrees.

Now I kind of understand why the Ed Song shows how Rudues wasn’t there and there were just Eris and Ruijerd. Bcs in the original timeline, Rudues wasn’t supposed to be there.

i've found about this anime yesterday. seen all 2 seasons in 1 day and i want more. howly cow i don t want to wait 3-4 years like it happens with other animes for a new season.

Eh I’m not so sure left out is the right world but at least in the wn the author explains just how injured and in pain eris actually is and yet the only thing she can focus on his rudeus. Likewise as he’s dying rudeus sees her and tries to cast healing magic on her so she could escape. It’s just a single paragraph that I don’t know if it made it into the ln but it goes a long way for a lot of things.

man it's really hard to resist reading the LN now. Im probably gonna cave in once the 2nd cour ends. anyone know how many Eps left we are supposed to get for this szn?

I wouldn’t say talking to Orsted was his greatest mistake. I’d even argue it’s one of the best decisions Rudeus ever made.

About Nanahoshi, Rudeus thought he heard her name somewhere. I just had the biggest realization, what if it is the Girl he tried to save from the truck? Maybe she got reincarnated too. It would make sense because in the novel it said he could only save one boy so she probably died there too. Other than her I can't think of anyone else Rudeus could have heard of before and he got healed after she said something to Orsted according to Eris, so maybe that's got something to do with this as well.

I feel like you could've talked a little about Rudy Reaffirming some of his suspicions about the man-god when he's dying, since I didn't think the anime showed it quite as well as the LN. The anime makes it seem like "oh that's quirky" rather than "Well you're clearly just straight up lying to me at this point"

Love the mushoku tensei content! I'm already looking forward to next season with only a couple of episodes left ughh makes me sad thinking it'll be a little awhile

I'm curious if those Reg Dragons flight limitations and the way they move on land are inspired by pterosaurs (aka the Pterodactyl/Pterodactylus belong to this group. I've read they are technically not considered dinosaurs but their own separate group of species). Some of the largest ones were theorized to require having to do cliff jumping and such due to their very large wingspans and size because otherwise their wings would hit the ground so they wouldn't be able to flap them well enough to take off on flat terrain. It might be why they didn't survive the mass extinction event that killed the other dinosaurs and the more bird like dinosaurs survived to the modern age in the form of birds while they went extinct. (that and their large size meant they required a much larger food diet so the harsh conditions meant the smaller bird like ones had the advantage in that department too) So there was ancient creatures of Earth's past that were not much different in how they fly compared to these red dragons and there is a real world example of creatures that have similar flight limitations. A nice little detail and world building! :D

I would like to mention that the main reason ruijerd declared eris a warrior was that it was her 15th birthday that day and so she was now an adult.

Dude awesome video as always only one thing tho, before going with the man god the girl with the white mask said "there is something disturbing me.. isn't he?" And it cuts, does the LN or manga shows what she was going to mention? And if so, is it probably that rudeous is kind of a reincarnation of not only himself but also someone else and that's why the girl recorgnized him? At least that's what I think feel free to explain XD

This scene was referenced again when (SPOILERS) The demon king showed up at the academy (the husband of the purple loli demon girl). Rudeus was able to scratch the hand of orstead and it was incredibly impressive to the demon king so he asked rudeus to hit him with the same attack. Said attack obliterated the guy iirc, but since he could regather his body, he healed back almost immediately. It was an interesting call back that showed how terrifying orstead was compared to powerful characters

I must say, the Orsted fight was the first scene in Mushoku Tensei which made me shout out loud to the screen at how many things bothered me about this whole situation. Not that I disliked the show too much afterwards, but your explanation was quite vital for me to accept much of what happened, so thank you very much for this. (I shouted things like "Why would you keep TALKING to the guy!? He is obviously BAD NEWS!" and "Stop fighting back! He might just have left you alive if you could just SHUT UP!", as you probably could imagine)

Hearing Eris hearth breaking cry just last episode, made her decision in the next one even worse. They spent years together, day after day, struggling and gettin closer and she didn't even say goodbye 😢

Idk if anyone mentioned this, but that "Nuke" Fireball looks like Guilty Gear Xrd's Dizzy's Instant kill, considering the colour of fireball, the "Nuclear" devastation afterwards and the fact that Rudeus in his previous life played a lot of GGXrd and his main was Dizzy.

It takes at least king class magic to scratch orstead. Rudy abilty to silent cast allows him to cast advanced level spells with king class even imperial class levels of magic. Even his stone cannon hit with king class level power.

ANINEWS-SAMA. I have a suggestion. I think it would be interesting of you can explain the value of money in Mushoku and other fictional stories you discuss. Like we know how one gold is a lot of money but how many silver coins is it? Concerted to lower denominations? Also is there a conversion from metal money to stone? How much can it buy in terms of commodities? I think a lot of people are interested in currency in different fictional universes if there is enough material.

It's seems the anime changed orsteds characterization quite a lot. He seems quite easy going and friendly in the Manga

I have an interesting Question. Remember then Orsted said that the family of paul greyrats and Zenith should only have two daughters and no son? As you have might guessed already, its about the two daughters. In the 4th episode we have seen that rudeus has convinced his mother to let Lilia stay and put all the fault onto Paul. So, who would have convinced Zenith if not rudeus? Possibilities are only those for me: -Paul was sad that his child would live as a bastard. That for claimed himself of raping (pretty logical to me, if we remember that he isn't the smartest and could tell that Lilia was tempting him) -Lilia have claimed being raped by Paul (less logical, because they have lived together many years ( I forgot actually how long) ) - Zenith has achieved to forgive them both without any other individual as Rudeus (almost same scenario, but without rudeus) There are also possiblities in which Lilia doesn't stay at the greyrats residence, but i won't like to include that due to being the farest from Kanon. But don't forget that a certain someone could have showed them the way. *Of course its the thief classed friend from the former party "Fangs of the Black wolf"* TbH i think that's new for anime only enjoyers, but since he did some rather suspicious things I think he would be capable to convince zenith. Further more he is that SUS that im already certain he is an apostle (This comment would contain spoilers if I would describe everything like it is, but heck no. Also don't come at me with the brutal fact from the ending of the novel. I already have *JINX* myself by searching the candidates name to an apostle. Hope you enjoyed that last joke there ;D)
