Mushoku tensei is the only anime ive seen where everyone gets legitimately hyped for the words "its standing". Truly a historical anime of our generation.

I loved the ending with how Rudy was ok with fitz having to hide her identity and is completely content to just keep being friends until he gets a chance to be more.

I was honestly surprised how easily the “ignored by fitz” incident passed. I’m so used to every little misunderstanding and secret becoming a whole arc that I was surprised Rudy even believed Fitz. I was thinking Rudy’s been uncharacteristically docile lately, but then you mentioned how he was thinking if everything he wanted to do with Fitz. Yup, that’s our boy. These videos are great and I always look forward to them. Thanks for saving people from having to read the entire series from the beginning for those small details.

Fitz has done voiceless incantation to heal Rudeus’s ED right there

The way Summoning works to summon someone from another world always sounded a lot like trying to open a Wormhole with the Mana being the energy needed. However some of the issues with wormholes is the paradoxes they could cause one either end. One theorized is that if the exit of the wormhole became unstable, it would swing wildly through both space and time. Which could explain Nanhoshi, and even the mass teleport incident. When the wormhole opened to deposit Nanahoshi, in a kinda mana backwash it sucked everyone in the region up. No longer having enough mana to maintain it the people essentially 'fell' out of the wormhole, showing up at random places around the world.

I loved the different stages of Rudeus finding out Fitz's gender, from denying his feelings, question his sexuality, negotiating for information, to acceptance. And he gets bonus points for recognising Fitz wants to keep his gender a secrets and Rudeus respects that decision

Its wild to me how interesting the anime is and how MUCH MORE the light novel is without completely compromising what gets adapted.

I'm glad SOMEONE is willing to talk about battle aura because the scene with Badigadi was its first formal mention even in the novels. The only thing readers had to go off of before that was in Volume 1 with Rudeus' abstract musing of how some advanced sword masters could reach a top speed of about 40 mph. Edit: Badigadi also mentioned that just as everyone could cast magic by saying the right incantation and possessing enough mana, technically, everyone could use battle aura as well. Rudy just really sucked at it.

11:50 I think this also reinforces how apathetic she is to the people of the world and how little she thinks of the. She doesn't really care if people are sacrificed for her dabbling because what she's doing, she considers much more important.

I just wanna say that because of this channel, I've picked up the light novel. Even though I don't read often, it was really easy to get into. I've read the manga as well. Which definitely leaves a lot out. My favorite part recently is the Eris update we got. Which was very nice to see since it's been so long since we heard about her.

Thanks, so main points I got from this: - The demon that battled with Rudeus actually companioned with him most of the time he trained with the sword. Occasionally he'd make conversation like we saw in the anime but he'd nod most of the time, as if approving his swaves with the sword. - Rudeus is trying to figure out "Battle aura" over the span of a year when he's been there, like Eris did with the giant snake, but for some reason he can't do it - Rudeus has enough magic output to be able to do all the magic circles he's requested to test, "Fitts" wouldn't be able to do all of them as the mana output is linked to Advanced magic. - The amount of mana of Rudeus is also more than his body can handle, hence he basically can't use all his potential, or his body would literally fall apart ("like Deku from My Hero Academia" - one for all at 100%). - Rudeus tries to bribe the president/head teacher for Fitt's real gender with seeing if firing a stone/rock at him would make him change his mind, but it still doesn't trigger him to say anything. He also requests his magic "rank" earlier on (not on the same day but in the distant past of joining the academy) but sees no merit in calling himself a higher rank, as it brings himself no good/perks. Am excited to see the reaction of Fitts and Rudeus, guess we'll see on Sunday this week. Love hyping myself up for this, thanks for doing this every week, really appreciate seeing the extras.

One thing about magic and silent casting seems to be some understanding of the forces involved (as you have mentioned) but how much you need to know of course is the gray area. I wonder if knowing that gravity is bending space itself, that it travels in waves, and is potentially from the mass created by the higgs mechanism is enough. I don't know enough about the whole magic system of course but it makes me wonder. Another thing is even something like lightning not showing up (from what I have seen) is shocking to me since it is definitely something a lot of people have seen. Though I am guessing Rudeus either didn't know or tried and failed. Since I believe lightning is the result of charge built up by the hot and cold particles in a storm rubbing on each other essentially. Plus it always goes from positive to negative or vice versa when it strikes. It makes me think you could learn to charge yourself with one of them and set the same charge around someone and zap them. Another question. If you took one of us who had seen this show and put us in the universe like Rudeus with similar mana/magic talents would we be able to figure out barrier magic because we know it exists and that it can block magic and/or physical attacks?

I just started to read the Light Novel and into Vol3 and already realized it has way more content and explains a lot more about magic and how the sword God and skill works. I highly recommend the books!

There is a scene from previous episodes that you haven't talked about, when Rudeus tells about his ED to Cliff, Rinia and Pursena; its pretty safe to say at this point that the anime won't show it.

Damn its kinda worrying they didnt talk abt battle aura this episode. I hope they mention it eventually because it seems really important to just be omitted
