Against most people he would do Kafka would do awesome but he is going against the best of the best. Most of the candidates went to special places of preparation to join the JDSF anti kaiju forces. By what I remember of the manga he didn't have that option.

Kikuro has a strong sense of personal honor and would see betraying Kafka as dishonorable and being an ungrateful ass hat. She is totally going to be drawn into Kafka by him saving her life, saying she did a good job despite losing her battle and telling her to value life. 😊

Ideas to make the kajiu more dangerous 1.give them lesser human parts and more animalistic parts 2. The Kaiju should be more based off of the creatures in our mythology and prehistory or/also other media like avatar,65,monster hunter,dark crystal,skull island,primeval and even some of the great ones like Godzilla(speaking of Godzilla) 3.have this series be a sequel to Godzilla mins one

Nah, the kaiju get plenty dangerous later on. At first they are essentially mindless, but after a while they start evolving to outright counter the hunters.

wait... why bother to take out the intestines before the bulk of its outer bio material is cut open for easy to transport chunks , short of plugging a bit hose into the end of the crap tubes to pump out/release decomposition gases as smoothly as possible with lees explosion/contamination risks ...but sending people to cut and hack in it just ..ehh ?
