I'm from Chile... maybe the last place in the world to ever find a fan for Anita Baker, still... I'm here. Letting everybody know that she is worldwide recognized and loved. Her music is like coming home every time.. a place in the sunlight, a sweet morning, a lovely dawn.. but most of all.. (for me, and maybe.. hopefully for some more..) the promise of TRUE LOVE.. hard to find, hardest to recognize, but so close to imagine... some of us don't look for less.

I liked the fact that when she allowed the guitar player to play, that she stepped out of the light and let it be all about him. Even dancing. Such elegance, such grace. True Diva!

+Lisa Lee, gurrll I rocked that hairstyle, just like you said and so did many other women. Her beauty, her smile, her voice, her singing and that hair cut ROCKED. I wanted to be Anita Baker so bad. LMAO. That entire CD was dope, every song on it was a hit.

his long play Rapture from 1986 is one of the best in the history of soul and jazz, there is no bad song and that with everything that came after it and in the middle of the 80s are big words, but it is that not only that, some are works teachers like caught in the rapture for example, her voice is especially combined with the musical arrangements and composition of the guitar, it's wonderful, enormous.

Today as I watch Anita Baker, Aretha Franklin, and Chaka Khan I understood what the meaning of soul music is. Soul isn't this auto-tuned, simple voiced music that my generation has today. Soul is the passion of the soul where you not only sing but you SANG! If only we had SOUL SANGING people in this industry for my generation today, we, childern, would understand music more in depth. To the day that happens, Anita, Aretha, and Chaka will flow through my speakers. (: I love this song!
