In this video, I review the Anker SOLIX C1000 portable power station. I've had this little solar generator for a little over 6 months now and have used it in both truck camper setups! I also install the new BP1000 expansion battery in this video and give a brief update on truck camper life so far!

The reason that cable is so big is because the battery has a fast charging feature. Fast charging is a great feature that most of those solar chargers don't have, including my Goal Zero Yeti. Now you need to get those other solar panels installed to keep the second battery charged.

Glad it’s working. Nice to see something other than bluetti etc. I have a van w/ a lead acid house battery and a sailboat with a 12v system only. No shore power. My thought is to have a system like this that I can take to both. But have dedicated solar on both so I don’t have to switch them. And I like how this can charge fast

Love the channel! This is what works for me in my semi truck that’s approximately 80 square ft. I have an EcoFlow delta 2 max with the wave2 ac with expansion battery and I use an inverter to recharge as I drive. When the wave 2 is plugged into the EcoFlow generator it’s more efficient and runs at 250 watts and EcoFlow just came out with an alternator charger that charges at 800 watts when driving but the cool thing is it will trickle charge your car battery or if you have a dead battery as long as you have power left in your generator it will charge battery so you can restart the car. I know you were saving room for solar on the room but I would’ve put a max fan over the bed on the roof. Great project

You can loop the cable and it will still reach with the battery with it stacked on top. It gets the overall length of the set up down quite a bit. I needed to do that as the spot I want to put it was only 24” and now it easily fits.

Since you are a very satisfied customer, inquire with Anker suggest an optional battery connection which will satisfy your specific placement. Surely there are others who will want to stack/configure like yours. Sure what they supplied to you is a "standard" connector. Ask them to make a 90 degree top/bottom cable. And certainly they could offer as upcharge. You are correct, the "power stations" available now are best bargain for low/mid range off grid conditions. Fast charge the key, with solar ready input. Plan/build "van life" around the specific power system, allowing for battery expansion. Frig, lights, internet, induction cooking, Wabsto heat, heated mattress pad, AC for those that need it.

Maybe mention that it has an xt60 connector for solar panels, so if you have solar panels that have mc4 plugs, you have to buy an adapter to be able to plug it into the anker. I believe the anker solar panels have xt60 connectors, so even if they include a cable, it would have an xt60 on both ends.

You are praising it because they give it to you for free!!! 😁 In my experience in trying out power stations from many reputable companies: I would rank them in this order: Ecoflow, Bluetti, Anker....

You had talked about student loans and job dissatisfaction was the reasons you went into element life. How much student loan debt did you come out of Tulane with and what do you still owe on those student loans? Just watching so many videos on these stupid student loans and now my kids are in the position of choosing whether to go to college or not because of the high cost. I would appreciate you sharing that info.

I missed the solar part of it. How much solar do you have and is it on your roof or do you have portable solar panels you use to charge it? Or do you charge it with the truck via 12v?
@ElementLife
@ElementLife 2 ай бұрын
I have 450 watts of rigid panels mounted on the roof currently. 1 200 watt and 1 250 watt. They are connected in series. I bought an adapter to connect MC4 cables to the C1000. It works great! I never use the 12 volt outlet to charge it, but probably could in a pinch if I need to.

Can you help me with my problem? when the station is charged, the additional battery will automatically start charging after it, or is it necessary to press the power button on the battery? I have a problem that I need to always turn on the additional battery. And after charging the battery to 100%, it turns off, and in order to charge devices and connect its battery to the station, you need to press the button again. That is, the station works as a source of uninterrupted power and automatically switches between charging the station itself and charging other devices, and the additional battery must be constantly turned on in manual mode.

@@MrMinimalst No video in over a month, and you call a video like this a quality video, where he only sits in one spot and makes a 10 minute sales pitch for a product that has been "reviewed" and pushed on other channels countless times? Not only that, this is not a review, he makes a cut by affiliation on every unit sold via his link. Now lets talk about the product itself! This thing has only 88 Amp and costs 700 bucks with tax and after that fake discount. For 600 you can build you own 280 Amp LifePo4 battery bank with 4 cells from China! Those no name pure since wave inverters can be found on Ali for 50 bucks, same with the charger. With other words you can have 200 Amp more for the same price if you would build your own. And if he would make "quality" videos, he would show how to build your own LifePo4 battery bank, instead of pitching an over-priced and under-performing system. Not doing a video for over a month and the last one being a sales pitch is s slap in the face for his subscribers. It basically says: I don't care about you anymore, but here, buy my stuff so I can make a few bucks from you. I unsubbed when I wrote my last comment, only came back to address your nonsense fanboi reply.

There can never be any improvement as long as our society has this ongoing ridiculous criticism of criticism, or this fanatical sensitivity, or some people's never ending crusade in assuming everybody else is retarded and not able to defend themselves and need them to come to everybody's rescue. @@Ellifiknow "thoughtful" is debatable, hence limits the 1st amendment. Everything I said are facts, not even an opinion. When people get irritated by facts, we as a society are about to lose all our rights. Only weak people would want to limit themselves. He went from weekly uploads to monthly. You can't grow a channel this way. Look at channels that keep succeeding in this over-saturated market, such as Cleetus. When things slow down, he cranks out DAILY videos for an entire month. Whats the difference? One needs to find a job to meet ends, the other one bought his own race track, his own airfield, his own 3 helicopters, his own plane, his own race shop, his own 1 M home, about 10 race cars, race boats, a fleet of over 100 vehicles, staff of at least 40 people, made his pilots licenses, got married, has 2 kids, all in 5 years.
