A giant living on a dying island finds a new land to move, but when he notice that his animal friends can’t go there by themselves, he needs to become the bridge for them to go to their new home.

Remarkable. This video is too high vibe for me to see more than a distorted audio and very "generic" characters. Will take some work till I am ready to see it in its glory. Amazing. With a channel named Animal Collective, no wonder I'm not ready. Being not of the vibe yet, it looks "bad quality". Well, at least I now have a reference to go for.

1 year late reply here. I never really thought about it for some reason but AnCo has some really solid mixing, like LCD Soundsystem-tier mixing. Everything sounds so crisp and textural

The audio-visual combination of this song with this video, to me, evokes something strangely dark. So, this is my understanding of the phrase The Bridge to Quiet. This music and video combination feels to me like a child's inner journey from something happening. Something horrible, traumatic, and life-altering, to healing and growing again as a person. The child slowly realizes that they can't heal without moving on. Then, when they try, their positive feelings/memories/influences from their past are almost abandoned in favour of a clean slate. They turn back, realizing that they can still be the person they were with all those memories, feelings, and influences; but can also go forward to a new paradigm. Then by the end of the video, the inner journey of this child has arrived at a regenerative and peaceful place the journey to which is called The Bridge to Quiet.

Another part worth noting in my eyes is how our friends seem to start off and end up in remarkably similar scenes, as if to suggest that this was not their first time going through this ordeal, and it might not even be the last...

love these interpretations...i see this as humanity starving their spirits on an island of Modernity, knowing they can try to fix it or leave...They realize they can make a break for it, but their sin is to think that only they matter, so first they will have to become aware of the non-human lives that are also suffering. Only then will they be inspired, and therefore have the strength to leave the old world behind💜

I have seen Animal Collective in NYC, Boston, Richmond, & Charlottesville. Last time that I saw them was at the Jefferson in Charlottesville, which is such a beautiful place - inside & out. I brought them * flowers * in mason jars. ("Golden" sunflowers) Virginia is For [ Animal Collective ] Lovers.

Great representation of a bigger consciousness becoming aware of the state of the environment and knowing he can leave anytime to ditch the land that gave so much "his colors". As I'm sure that island it was on was once like the one he's desiring to go to. Unknowingly he can leave other beings behind as well. As you can see they try but they aren't capable to make a big travel alone like him. He sees this and in his empathy he reverts back to help knowing the island is doomed. He uses himself as an Ark to swim the animals to the otherside. In his selfless sacrifice to help others he rests after his victory and goes dormant again, but this time the little beings are grateful and rest peacefully on him. The visual art and song tugged my heartstrings. 💞 Beautiful done! 👏👏👏

There always gotta be one a$$hat contrarian who has to click the thumbs down button. If you like Animal Collective, what's not to like? This is a beautiful video and an entrancing track. This EP helped me, um, float through some rough times this last year.
