About five or more years ago I was a tween who had faced abuse, broken hearts, betrayal, and especially during that time when music seemed to be the only thing that agreed with me and how I was feeling vs. expected to feel, my mom used to tell me she thought I was fine because she heard me singing in my room. Really it was just a creative outlet to try and let out that pain and emotion, and this song reminds me of that in a sit down with a drink kind of way. If you are reading this, which I suppose you have to be after coming this far through, your emotions are valid even if they don't make sense. Don't let yourself make decisions based on your emotions of the moment and heartbreak unless it is to get out of that. You are worth so much more. If I could go back to them and tell myself one thing, it would be to tell myself who I am. Chosen, loved, forgiven, and my heavenly Father's daughter. You will learn from this life what it is like to suffer on all sides, but darling, it will bring out who you are; love and the embodiment of kindness because you understand how important and sometimes forgotten it can be.

And it's hard letting go of everything because my feelings were true and real. And he can't even say if he loved me for real throughout when I ask.
