I think it’s funny when I see people who claim to have “alters”. I have been medically diagnosed and when I see these people fake these disorders, I just find it amazing how they think they can “act”. You don’t just have alters that you can craft yourself and just chose when they show up. They show up when you need it, or switch out with you when they think you’re in danger. ALSO I find it funny that their alters like being on camera a lot since- not a lot of alters like being filmed because it dehumanizes them (at least for us).

Hi can you explain to me how it work? Like do you feel it coming ? Is it dangerous? The difference between the personalities?😊 I'm very curious... if it doesn't bother you can you explain it?😊(also I'm french so tell me if I spelled right😅)
@tiredaugust64542 жыл бұрын
@@alimitededition2176 I’m not who you’re asking but I’m also part of a DID system so I can answer your questions (if you don’t mind) - every system is different on how to tell when a switch is coming. For example, us, we usually feel our shoulders and arms feel like we’re getting pulled back. For a switch, we feel getting pushed back and then we switch. - it can be dangerous, especially if you let a persecutor in the front (persecutors are not bad). Persecutors try to harm the system and body. Persecutors 99.9% of the time have a reason for this - it depends on the system. For us, majority of us like the same things and if we don’t, we’re neutral and sometimes we don’t like it. We also have different political ideas, sexualities, genders, etc. Please note that this is from experience, and any other system can be different

@@tiredaugust6454 @Akau thanks for answering my questions 😄if you don't mind I have others ones... the personalities change is very often or rare for you? What do you mean for persecutors?like people who force it / you to do it ? There is something that can ''declanche'' it ? I already said this but I'm very curious... I prefer go to talk so someone directly than google it 😅
@tiredaugust64542 жыл бұрын
@@alimitededition2176 No problem. - the personalities don’t change usually, for us anyway. Our alters have different personalities and such, and the others can’t really influence them to change. Of course, influencing can happen, for example, the alter in the front may be extremely angry, but then another alter influences them and they become indifferent. - persecutors don’t force themself to do stuff. I’m a mental persecutor myself and we believe it’s how the system should progress. some persecutors are more violent then others. - I don’t know what you mean by “declanche” it, but I’m guessing you mean changing the system, or a persecutor’s role. The system can definitely be changed, and it can even join into one part with therapy. Of course, they can split again. Persecutors can recover from what they’ve felt and change into another role. For us, we had 4 persecutors who have done this and they’re now under the protector role. I hope this answers your questions.

As a PDID (Partial Dissociative Identity Disorder) system (medically recognized), we have alters that are known as Introjects or fictive. Introjects are known as copy alters, or alters that are based off of real people or fictional characters. Fictives are known to be characters that are based off of real people, objects (like a plushie you’re attached too) or fictional characters, but never identify as the person, object or character they’re based off of. These types of alters are valid. But it is still disgusting to me (the host) to see people faking this disorder.

I felt like I could speak on my story on tiktok and I got so many hateful comments from men saying I was lying so I just shut up and never spoke out about it. No one should ever lie about something so serious.. also lying about mental illness is disgusting. People who actually suffer from DID and every other mental disorder go threw so many struggles in life. Mental illness shouldn’t ever be a trend but it seems like these individuals just want the attention and validation from others and get the likes and views. I’m not sure why faking and about something like that would be worth it but it’s taking away people’s trust from others who actually have the disorder and are being treated for it from them.

My girlfriend deals with DID on a daily basis and she has shared with me how hard it is to manage from times to times. It makes me sick that these teens are faking these disorders to gain fame and popularity. As someone who suffers from mental illnesses as well (I dont have DID) I dont like making videos or tik toks about it much because I dont want people to assume Im faking for attention etc. DID is very rare, only a small percentage of people have it and it is caused by severe childhood trauma. This is why most people who do have it dont get diagnosed until they are an adult.

As someone with actual diagnosed D.I.D, this trend has screwed up my medications and such, as so many psychiatrists think I'm just faking it so they don't want to give me the medications that I've been on for years now, or they take me off them. So this trend is so damaging to people that have been actually diagnosed with this disorder thanks to years of trauma. It's sucks man, no one should fake this sort of thing, it's not something I'd wish on anyone. It makes it so hard to live my life.

*Educational comment, please do not harrass* We don't normally tell people about the host and their DID unless we know we can trust them completely. And sharing it online is even a huge step, but I (Tyler) was given permission by the host themself to be able to talk about it to trusted people and to help educate people. I think it's sick to see so many people faking such a traumatic disorder. That is why it is labeled as a DISORDER. We aren't specifically linked to DID, but OSDD-1b. The difference between the two is more about the amount of trauma and the amount of memory you have if it. In OSDD-1b, we are more known to not be as forgetful, but still fairly forgetful, versus those who have DID itself. People with DID instead of OSDD-1b or OSDD-1a experience a lot more gaps in their memory than the rest of us. And we do know that switching can't just happen at will. Sometimes, we switch in the middle of driving, which can be scary when we're going 70 on the highway. Plus, when we dissociate, sometimes those moments can make us relive the trauma we experienced or that the host has experienced. I'm not speaking for all systems since every system us different in their own way, from alters, to how they all act. There are also times where a system member might try to commit unalive because of all the pressure being out on them. It's scary going into front to see a blade and pills on the floor of the bedroom without knowing I anything had happened. It's not as fun as people on TikTok make ime. But it's also not as bad as they make it either. There are goods days, and there are bad. But again, I don't speak for every system since they are all different. Please do take thus comment as education and not hate. I wouldn't hate those who fake such a disorder like this. It is not worth it to put so much into someone faking, especially because it will just give them more clout to use. Anyway, I hope everyone is having a great day, fellow systems, singlets, beardos and weirdos (Credit to OneTopicAtATime), and everyone else in between. Stay positive and don't let fakers/clout takers ruin your mood. Love you all! -Tyler

0:51 I made two TikToks on this girl and the situation is quite complex. There's no evidence she gave that proves the man did SA her, but she spoke with me and she sent me some pictures of 'him and her' and claiming she really does know him. She said she used that photo from online because the man is not on social media and that is the only picture she could find of him. She also told me she has the police documents, but I personally never asked to see them because that is personal stuff. Since the situation is so complex I think it's best to be held offline and with the courts, because at the end of the day we do not have a legal background and it is not in our position as viewers to be the legal judge.

i have D.I.D…this is disgusting and not even how alters work. D.I.D is so much more then just having having alters and multiple personalities it is very hard to deal with and it can be diagnosed at a younger age too like i was, but the only reason i ever got diagnosed was because my mother was diagnosed with it and children with parents that have D.I.D are more likely to develope it. It just upsets me so much to see people faking this mental illness and making it look cool when it is a battle and hard to keep in control, people with D.I.D tend to want to hide it and keep it from people…ive gotten questions like “can one of your alters try to kill me” after opening up to people about my mental illness and its not easy to hear that and see that people actuallly get concerned, even i myself was concerned when i first got diagnosed because i had heard of D.I.D it even made me doubt myself and fear myself since i wasnt aware that i had it or of how it worked and what it all meant. I just want everyone to understand that what is portrayed in those tik toks are nowhere near what people with actual D.I.D go through and people that make tik toks like that are actually one of the reasons why people get concerned when they hear D.I.D as it portrays it as being able to just develope whatever alters we want (like one that wants to kill or cause harm) when its not the case at all alters are actually the pieces of us that we disociate from when traumatic things happen and or figures we create in our brains to protect us from our trauma thats how some alters end up being older then us ourselves actually. Furthermore, its not even recomended to talk about our alters specifically describing them as it can cause more alters to develope and or trigger individuals that might have D.I.D to develope the same alter they are being told about. Overall, this is very wrong.

The last time I tried speedwalking, I slipped and fell, ended up in the er with minor nerve damage to my back from the inflammation (nothing bad happened, but my back has been worse since) It's one reason why I have a wheelchair for public use besides the fact I can't make it a full store trip while walking. Yet I get dirty looks if I get up, or in the rare case I forget my wheelchair at home and use those god awful store electric carts just because I look like every other healthy 16 year old. They also dont have control over their alters like how some people on tiktok seem to. He's said sometimes someone can ask a certain alter to front, but they cant just do it fully on command. Sadly though we've had some people who are actually pretty close to us fake DID, and not in a very convincing way either. One of them always said they were questioning if they had a system but then sometimes would just completely say they are one and they gave their alters names themselves when thats not how it works and if you have alters they tell you their names and you dont decide them. The other one had only a few alters but never really showed any difference when most of her alters were said to have very different personalities from eachother, and there would also be some times when someone would ask who was fronting for her and she'd say she wouldnt know, which could be possible if you had an alter that just didnt have a name, but if that were the case a more logical thing to say wouldve been "im new i dont have a name". She also faked getting sa once by this account that my partner made that he made an entire kind of character for but who wasnt actually real and then when she was called out for lying she just said "yeah well ive been sa by a bunch of other people too" which yeah if that actually happened you should tell someone but i doubt if someone had actually been sa by multiple people that theyd just say it out of nowhere to try and defend themself from being called out for lying about something.
