In this video, I want to show you how to make a silky dress. Just follow my easy steps and you gonna have this stunning dress in your wardrobe. So for this dress, you will need about 1,7m to 2,10m ( depending on a length you want it to be) of satin or silk fabric. I made this dress for size 8 AU. if you need it bigger just add a 4 cm on each horizontal measure. The length depends on you, I made it 90 cm from the strap point at the front. hey I really love your videos so I‘m planning on recreating this dress and some of the other clothing you created but I‘m still a newcomer and I don‘t really know how to resize your measurements to my body.. Could you do a video on how to measure your fabric so you geht a better fitting result? Or what one should remember while picking out patterns? Hi there...there's no way to know or understand what and how you're sewing the pieces together from like 7 min onward

From +/- 7min to like 8min, she begins by sewing the side edges of the dress, laying the front panel and the back panel right sides facing each other. Then she zigzag-stitched the upper edge of the front panel piece and one edge of the rectangle/band piece. When done she pinned the straps in place and add the band/rectangle piece on top of them, and fold the upper part of the front panel to create the armhole (also pinning the end of the straps in the folded fabric). Next sewing along the armhole (arm scye maybe ? Idk the eng word for it) and the rectangle edge you just zizgzagstitched so the straps are sewn in place and caught between the two fabric layers ; then fold your rectangle piece inside the back panel to hide it (the only purpose of the rectangle is to make the upper back seam... seamless and hide the straps) You can see her pressing the seam open and sewing along this back seam so it folds nicely (it also keeps the piece in place when you wear the dress) Make sure you sew only on the "inside" side of the seam otherwise it will be visible. When done she hemmed the end of the dress and sew the hem in place. I hope I don't forget anything, it's quite messy and I am a non-native english speaker so please excuse my mistakes. :)

Talin Measure your bust, waist and hips. you can add just 2 cm for the movement and 4 cm to each measurement for the seam allowance and then split up each measurement on 4 So it will look like this: Bust +4+2= ?:4=? Waist +4+2=?:4=? Hips+4+2=?:4=? This measurements is the vertical lines in the video. So first my measurement 24 cm change to your fist one , then my 21 change to your second one, and my 26 change to your third. Hope it was helpful. Ask me if you have more questions:)
