This Orange Grove Soap project will bring a little sunshine into your home, even if it’s still gloomy outside! This project features a swirled embed and piped leaves on top. The embed is cold process soap as well, so you'll need to make it 1-2 days ahead of time. Just make sure to use sodium lactate, which helps it harden and unmold more quickly.
It's scented with new Candied Citrus Fragrance Oil. The notes of lemon, honey, and eucalyptus complement the design perfectly.

I used a Pringle’s cane instead of that really expensive mold. it worked great!!!

@@Delana17 I do the same. You cannot reuse the can. I cut the can in a longitudinal way with a cutter. But you have another reason to buy more pringles!

From my baking days I learned to place my bag into a tall cup and make sure the bottom folds to prevent leaking out of the bottom and fold the top over the edge of the cup. Then if it’s too runny no worries on it leaking out of the bottom.

As far as piping goes to my untrained eye your skills are pretty impressive I do relate to the struggle of trying not to create a mess while filling the bag and I solve it by putting a clips on the tip Thank you for great video 😉

Since this design doesn’t use a frosting tip, you could simply wait to cut the tip until after you fill it. As you can see in the video, if it’s thick enough, it won’t move to the very bottom but even if it does, you can push the ‘frosting’ back up and then cut the tip. Also putting the frosting bag into a tall cup, folding down the sides of the bag a little, and bending the tip up would make everything a lot easier and less messy. This works especially well if you have a frosting tip in except instead of bending the tip up, you would twist it up.

A tip we bakers use is to have easier leaf shapes is to cut a arrow facing towards the top of the piping bag but it might be different for soap. Loved the video!

Hi there! I follow your youtube channel as your videos have been helpful to me and your projects inspire me. I'm new to soaping and i was hoping you could give me an answer to this question. Can i use any coconut oil to soap with in my recipe? There's two kind of coconut oil i bought. The first is an extra virgin coconut oil and it has a saturated fat content of 2 grams and is liquid at room temperature and the other is refined coconut oil with a saturated fat content of 12 grams and is also liquid at room temperature. Would i yield good results if i soap with either or is the one with the greater saturated fat content a better choice than the other???
