I lost my mom 2 years ago unexpectedly. She was only 67. I've asked for signs, I've waited on dreams and nothing. I gave up. But last night I again said out loud for a sign. And here it is. Anne of Green Gables. This was a TV show that her and I would watch. So I'll take it. I'm so excited to listen, relax and get sleepy! Thank you all!

What a splendid reader you are. Please do the rest of the series. This has been a very comforting distraction and I have listened several nights before sleeping. I’ve tried to find an audio book to continue this series and the readers are high pitched and read extremely fast. Just not the same.

I was a skinny redhead with a temper who never related to someone so much as a kid as Anne. This is beautiful and I’ve been listening during the day just to hear the story again. I would love if she did all of the books ❤

I've listened to this every night since it was released. I do fall asleep sometimes but go back to the last bit I remember. I'm chapter 24 now. I really hope you will consider doing book 2 as well. I read all the books as a child and throughout my teens, and as an adult. The pages are falling out of my books! Have loved listening and experiencing book 1 again

I wish I read this book when I was a child or teenager, for some reason this wonderful story wasn’t published in the Soviet, I used to work as a librarian but I never heard name L. M. Montgomery. I enjoyed every second of listening, every word, I laughed and cried. Thank you!

I love this so much. This is gonna take me a month or more to get through cuz i keep falling alseep. Haha, but i guess thats the point. Thank you for this. One of the best Story series ever written, by a great, Canadian Author. I adore Jane Austen, but this was a welcomed change for my sleep issues. It also brought back memories of visiting Green Gables, and of the Musical of Anne, that my youngest son was in, MANY years ago. If you’ve ever heard the song: “We clearly requested a Boy” from that musical, it can bring a tear to your eye. Cheers.

Excellent reading, so good I don't want to fall asleep. I did puzzle, though, when she said about "Tie tee an" hair. Titian is pronounced Tish ee an". Finally had an aha moment when she mentioned the artist who painted redheads.

Elanor, You are a wish. Come true I never knew I was making. Love you, Gammy. My beautiful granddaughter she’s a year and a half her is Elanor and she has orange red hair just like Anne. Marilla says this to Anne at the end of the Netflix series. she is a wish come true. I don’t know if it’s the same here in the book but I’m going to listen and find out. It’s the kind of kind story you wish would never end. It would be so nice to find out what happens with Anne and Gilbert. It would be so nice to see a wedding and children.

In every TV miniseries and audiobook version of Anne of green gables I’ve ever come across, “Avonlea” is pronounced with a short A. Not a long A like the River running thru Shakespeare’s hometown or the ladies that sell makeup door to door. It’s an honest mistake, I’m sure and I suppose an understandable one. But this sadly was unlistenable for me.
