We need this in USA I wish we could install third party apps like in android but in a safe way where the apps are scanned or checked in some way. But the third party app stores shouldn’t be paid.

I am from EU and I don't need it. I don't want Apple to mix sources, not to open them. I like Apple just at it is. Otherwise, the others are free to chose Android or Linux. :)

Make sure you’re using Safari to download, make sure your iPhone is running iOS 17.4 or later and also make sure you also live within the region allowed.

make sure to allow the download in setting settings - > altstore section (will appear) -> allow app to download, had the same issue

I can’t think of any good apps that aren’t already in the App Store. Not sure if would risk my device security on that. I owned an android phone once and it had a virus after installing 1 thing on it. No thx. I returned it.

Yes but this is now becoming available to anyone regardless of your technical knowledge, no PC side loading, no jailbreaking, just install and you’re ready to go. Currently only EU but Apple will most likely roll it out globally within a year or so
