ANOTHER Camera Bag?! - Tenba DNA 13 First Impressions

Hello, everyone! How are you all?
Today's video is a quick overview and first thoughts on the Tenba DNA 13. I decided to purchase a messenger bag to fill that gap in my large collection of bags and I am so, so pleased with the new addition!

Yikes! Sorry for some of the clips being jittery. Turns out I'm an idiot. Didn't realise I was slowing down some clips that were already 25fps. I was watching playback thinking.... "Wow! My computer is struggling a little" then I didn't check the export properly. TOTALLY my bad. ALSO!! Thanks so much for 800 subs!! Wow!!

Very informative video! I see the bag holds a lot and I got to see how it would look on! I am also thin frame like you and had the same concerns. This is the video I needed. I purchased the 13" thanks to you❣️

Thank you for such an informative video! I'm looking for a easy access bag but not too big to take to NZ this October. I have a Sony A7III and at least two prime lenses I wanted to take and this looks like it will work nicely! If need be the next size up but it looks like it a great option. Thanks again!

Ah, yes! Thanks for the informative review. I think the thing is now, what is best for me, the 15 Slim or the 13. I think the 15 might be a little too big, and thanks to you and this review, I may be on to something. This is the first of the 13 reviews I'll be checking out, but I think it may be the most informative. Taking all your gear out was the kicker. Thanks!

Great video! I like the fact that you are quite unbiased and comment on the fact that a single style of bag isn't suitable for everyone. That's quite a refreshing change really. The only experience I've had with Tenba myself is with their Shootout 18L backpack. Its certainly the most comfy and best design backpack that I've ever used. Its not perfect but it works really well otherwise. Could I please ask of your opinions on the Joby Gorillapod 3K? I'm considering the 5K for either a large macro lens (180mm) or something like a 70-200mm F2.8 lens. Do you find that the bendy design holds its shape when loaded with a heavy lens and camera? Again great video, thanks.

Thanks very much, Gavin! I actually got my gorillapod around 8 years ago now and I don't actually remember what strength it was. I believe it is 5k though. I think they are good, and the stronger ones definitely hold weight well. The main issues are that they start to become weaker with more use, the joints become looser meaning it can slip easier and the length of the camera/lens package will probably effect stability. Its a tricky one with those bendy tripods but I'm yet to find a suitable replacement for it in my kit personally. Hope this helps!

Thank you for your reply. The issue with the joints degrading to the point where the tripod can't be used anymore seems to have been quite a common complaint with the older SLR-zoom and Focus models. I wasn't sure if their replacements - the 3K and 5K respectively - were any better. Ideally I'm hoping to a tripod that is of a compact size and would be useful for ground-level moss, lichen and other low-growing fauna. I quite agree that its hard to find an alternative! Once again thanks for your reply and keep up the great work with your videos.

Glad you liked the video 😊. I've had no issues since buying the bag. It's super durable, no real signs of wear or anything. I think the key is not to overload it. If you make it too heavy it can become uncomfortable very quickly. But that is pretty normal with sling and messenger bags.

Do the messenger bags have anywhere you can strap a small travel tripod to (similar to the Peak Design slings/messengers).

Hmmm nothing dedicated no. I suppose depending on the thickness of the tripod you could attempt to attach it using the magnetic clipped straps on the front. But I don't think that will work in most cases.
