I think it is so fitting that you did a page with your Grandmother on it and today is Mothers Day. I love her braids and her cute hat. They seem to add to the whimsy here. So fun!!♥️♥️♥️

Love this Barbara. I can totally see how you might change your perspective on your grandmother. You would have only ever known her as an adult. Now you get to see some of the carefree child in her. What a great concept. ❤

Beautiful! I love, love, love that this is changing your feelings about, or your perceptions of, your grandmother. In my years of doing genealogy, it is when I start learning more about the lives of my ancestors, and finding photos of them, that I feel a stronger familial connection to them - even those I didn't know very well or at all. I have no memories of my great-grandmother but when I was looking recently at a photo of her, I could see how my grandmother resembled her and see the person who raised my grandma. I am so happy you're doing this series because I'm loving playing around with their photos even more! 💖

This is a really special and personal spread with your grandmother. It's inspiring me to get copies of some that I have also of my grandmother. I know there are some great photos hiding. The yellow and the bit of orange make your photos pop and kind of bring them into current times. Love all of it.

That makes perfect sense Barbara. You've placed your grandmother in a caring place and it does make your heart change. Same thing happens when I pray for people who I don't really know or maybe don't like too much. I end up being more tender-hearted towards them.

Barbara: these two pages are just endearing. I do like the larger picture of your grandmother. I think it’s that hat. It is so cute. You can almost see her walking, with her friends, all dressed up, chatting away, on a Sunday afternoon. I wonder what they would be talking about? Carol from California

You did a beautiful job with your grandma, it's nice how you were able to see her in a different way, my grandmother was an awful woman, nasty and difficult, I wish I could change the way she was seen but I never saw any photos of her as a child, I'm so glad you were able to see your grandma in a different light.

Barbara, that makes perfect sense about how you feel about your Grandma. Seeing her differently as a child. My Grandpa was born in 1915 also. I have made a family tree, nothing elaborate, but wanted to add photos to put a face with the names. I need to get that project going. Thanks for sharing your Grandma with us. I love the big ribbons and hat on your Grandma. TFS! These turned out fabulous! ❤

That's such a cool photo with the big bows! Yummy wax I have the same from inca gold. Liquid glass is good too, self levelling but slow drying. What a great sentence "glue the wings on my Grandma" 😄 . Lol happy twine 🙊. I get what you mean by old photos changing how you view the person as we only know them once they were changed by life's circumstances. Great page, lovely with the facing one! Tfs and have a great day 💖💖💖

My parents fled a Russian invasion and made a life in Canada. My brother and I did not get to grow up knowing grandparents or most of our Aunts, Uncles and Cousins who were trapped behind an Iron Curtain. Treasure your memories, I wish I could say something like ‘my grandmother used to bake my favourite cookies’, etc. 😘

So special, Barbara! I love the butterfly wings. Funnily enough, when I recently made a similar collage based on your first video, I decided not to cut the base off the image - and I was very happy with the result. P.S. I managed to be courageous, and put a picture up on Instagram - tagging and thanking you for the inspiration. And yes, my grandmother was rather strict as well, so it was lovely to create something wherein she seems softer and happier. 🧡💚🤎
