It’s so important to have a practice of doing art for yourself, especially in your line of work where you share so much and all eyes are on what you are doing in the moment. Promise yourself to keep some personal moments of art for yourself. It’s like meditation for your soul. Cherish it.

I loved seeing all of Nadja’s work, it’s very inspiring! I wonder if you would consider showing us some time how you would make a mini journal charm like that? It seems like it would be a great gift for a fellow journaler or anyone who loves books.

Good morning Barbara, Seeing your new collage adventure warms my heart. I am so happy you are doing something just for yourself. That will fill your cup. You give a lot to us and I am sure your daily life is quite busy too. Thank you for pouring into us. You always motivate and inspire me. I always find your videos interesting and motivating. I am so glad you found a solution to help with your cords. Your desk set up with your tools is so handy. I need to work on some better solutions for myself. I have a square table, most days it works. Would love to have a larger space to spread out in...you know crafters always want more. Received my first newsletter this morning and it just made my day. Nadia's entire package was so thoughtful, exciting, and beautiful. The art piece is so gorgeous and so creative. I also just adored the tiny charm. That would make for a fun video. Thank you for all you do. Julie

Barbara, what a lovely video! Your craft room additions will serve you well. Thank you for sharing Nadja’s gifts to you that I know you will treasure. I am pleased to know you stopped buying items from China, as I share your thinking about these companies stealing work from others, including Andrea’s of Artymaze. I have had a blank book with lovely paper and am now thinking of making it a combination of my art and self-care. Yes, collage will be in there. You sure do inspire ideas similar to yours but my own. Stay happy and craft on! 💕💕💕

Those plastic containers look exactly like the fishing lure stacking thingies we used years ago. Scrapbookers used them to store eyelets and brads. What a great idea to use your chess pieces as handles for your foam rounds. I have a marble chess set I do not use anymore and will start using my pieces as craft tools. Thanx for the lovely tip. Love your logo wall hanging and your mini album. Clearing the cables like that is also a smart idea. Will look out for such baskets to add to my desk. Oops part 2. I have been kinda stuck searching for a way to actually write in journals. Watched a lot of videos recently and tried different things. I'm happy to say your video is the one that's working. It's just a little cheap composition notebook. I am doing a collage on one page and writing on the other. Following you guide, one per day. Just grabbing a random handful of scraps and making it work. I have always struggled with trying to collage scraps. Thanks again for all your hard work and inspiration!

I so love these vlogs, Barbara! I have used many of your ideas in my own little studio and it is becoming much more organized. I want to suggest an alternative for storing the ink blending sponges-stacking pill cases. They’re available on Amazon in the U.S. and maybe in Europe as well and they are not expensive. They look identical to the ones shown with the mini ink blending tools you showed here. I've got an idea!! 💡 Instead of the tube with all the small plastic transparent containers, you can use the ones that you buy in shops to fill in with your face creams when you travel. I don't know how to explained better...are little transparent pots just like the ones that you shown, but there aren't stackable 'screwing' them together. I don't know if someone knows what I am talking about!! 😅🤣 Anyway... I'm sure you can find that kind of pots even in dollar stores or beauty/house supplies shops.

Oh cool plug/cable solution! Oh yes the ikea things are handy too. 🙈 there's always an awkward one 🙈. Old German script is AWESOME, definitely drooling🙊. I have that little punch, super CUTE 😍. It's all so lovely but that logo is just WOW 👏👏👏. So many journals😄. Oh chess pieces! Genius! Tim Holtz uses a spice carousel. Oh yes we have to be careful when buying. You could get those stacking bead storage towers. They're exactly the same. Oh yes, I have a turntable for my desk. I'm terrible for writing things down in a diary 🙈. I'm more than happy to 'watch' (confession, I just let it play in the background until you came back 🙊). your ads, i just did a 5 minute one. Morning Barbara, lovely vlog, as usual, they are always full of interesting content. I love the idea of using an old half loved and used diary, I have a beautiful leather bound one that also dates back to 2020 and now I feel that I can do something with it. I started junk journaling in 2020 during that terrible time, inspired I must tell you when watching a few of your videos. ( You are now to blame for my passion, THANK YOU for being there then and for all you have done for me and my sanity since. ) Your videos/vlogs always make my heart smile and it is always a wonderful day when you are on. I am off now to find that little diary and see what I can do with it, I am inspired!!!! Thank you Barbara for your warm heart, lovely chatter, inspiration and for just being you, you have become such a special part of my life, I am forever telling people to watch you for their first journals and I know that I have strong-armed some into making their first journals, and they are so thrilled. Keep well and look after yourself, Blessings and hugs, as always, from Cape Town. Diana 😀☺🤗🦊🦊

You might check in the fishing section of a hardware store. There you might find those stacking containers. I enjoyed your tour and craft room updates. The size of your collage book is so convenient and cute.

I just love these studio vlogs! It's so fun to see all the organizing and progress you have made on your beautiful creative space. Sooo many ideas are buzzing around in this vlog! (I have so much to do.😉) Thank you for all the wonderful inspiration as well as educating us on mindful shopping. Nadja's art work is so gorgeous! Absolutely inspired! Thank you for sharing! ❣ She is truly an incredible artist! I keep forgetting about instagram for inspiration I will definitely have to check her out! I know you have had so many ideas on the small blending tool replacements but I just thought I would share what I did... I glued a small velcro pad to the flat side of a wooden craft ball (you can usually find them in bulk). They are small and don't take up as much room on my desk as those tall handles but you don't get your fingers inky and they fit in a flat tin. You can also tint the wooden ball with the corresponding ink so it is easy to find. Love the idea of the chess pieces that would look amazing and be so fun!!🥰 Thank you again! Blessings~

Thanks for your kind feedback and tip! I’m not sure what you mean with the craft balls 🤷‍♀️

So sorry, I wasn't very clear it was late in the day. 🥴 I meant the large wooden beads used for macrame. I had them on hand the first time I ever used distress ink and have used them ever since. 😃

Thank you so much for sharing all of your inspiring ideas. Love the box opening from Nadia. I have a feeling that the tiny journal might open as a real book. I’m also inspired to do a collage book like you’re doing what a great idea. 💕

I'd check around for flatter, square containers like that - probably in cosmetics or nail bling - you could glue the container to the ink pad bottom, use tweezers to remove the pad from the handle, and let it fall in face down. When using it next, just open the container and press the handle in to attach. No inky fingers, and tools to hand when wanted. I don't believe China has a monopoly on little acrylic boxes. You may have to get quantity (wholesale) and sell the rest in you etsy store (it becomes and art supply when you say so. I'm sure people in the community would be more than happy to have access to some as well.

From 34 subscribers to nearly 52000 - wow! Barbara, I love everything Nadia sent you, and the logo piece is very special. Your memory book reminds me of "end of day" art glass. There was a tradition of glass blowers working in factories to make pieces from the molten glass, leftover from the pieces they were making for their bosses, at the end of the day. They made them on their own time and according to their own creativity. So i use a Rolodex like that, making little collages from the small scraps I have left at the end of the day or the end of a project. The small collages use up scraps and remind me of what I was working on those days.

Oh wow! Your little fun packets from Nadja are so cute. You pulled out those nails and my mind immediately went to your ECO dying stuff where you used rusty items. I also loved all the thread she wrapped the nails up with! So much fun!! Your cute little dragonflies would be so cute in a shaker window. Love your small Journals. I had a red one when I was in 4th grade. I haven’t seen it in a long time. But I remember starting it out with… “Dear Diary”…. Lol. Every entry was about how much I loved this guy or that guy. Lol. So funny then about 4 pages later, I couldn’t stand the guy. Young love and I do mean YOUNG!! Your Journal brought back some fun memories. ♥️♥️♥️

That journal is so chunk-a-licious…..I have my foam pads stored in those containers, it’s not very convenient, I like your box with the handles and the pads. Barbara, one of the best ideas you shared was just taking the time to add some background interest to blank pages in our journals. It has helped me so much to just relax not think too much, and just a bit of creativity. I would love to do more of those in your snack videos.

I started a collage book just using one side and after about 6 months I cut the book up like it was a masterboard and used it for journal cards, clusters etc. Loved all the info in this video, thank you
