could anyone quick tldr what you mean by self cast no ballista vs with baliista. if its to much here all good.

@@madtricksterrc1506 Self cast no ballista means that youre using TR yourself(and probably using a Manaforged arrows to proc another TR in other link). With ballista means that your using a toxic rain linked in ballista totem(and probably foccused ballista) + Selfcasting the TR yourself. And you have the Toxic Rain Ballista, that uses only ballista to do damage, just "put ballistas on the ground and run" playstyle.

You need the -mana cost on gear, 25% reduced mana cost on flask, inspiration and divine blessing for malevolence and you should be set

If you want a different feel you might want to pick something else. This is still a run past shit and let it die behind you sort of build. Feels surprising similar

@@chrisdavis3551you should look into caustic arrow for mapping late game, exact same same build with slightly different gem setup and a source of pierce. I ran this the entire last league, CA while mapping and TR for bossing and sanctum. CA is so much more enjoyable while mapping.

Actually I did play a while and I'm now at level 40. This is total opposite compared to my previous character and very fun to play, at least until I switched into poison arrow setup. Now I ended up in a situation where I have way too little money to fix colors in my gear and get elementary resistances up. I would still be strong enough to continue, but not without killing most enemies and ending up being overleveled, as I previously have been, when I did all the quests and killed most of the monsters. That of course provided me much more currency. I could have never thought scroll of wisdoms can get bottleneck in many situations. Boss fights have been the best part with this character. It's much more fun to fo the fight when you can control the situation, make the strikes and dodge the attacks. It wasn't possible with witch, since everything just jumped on me and killed in an instant if I didn't kill them first. Now there wast opposite problem. I went to kill Kraityn few levels below. I just wasn't strong enough to kill him, no matter what I did, but he couldn't kill me either. I had to level up and update my gear, before I could kill him. None of the big bosses managed to kill me, but with elementarist, I was killed dozens of times. One of the big problem with this build and run-through play style, is maze type of maps, or those where you have to stop thinking or figuring out where you need to go. Half of the monsters are running behind you and need to be killed if you even think about stopping. Several times I ended up in a blind ends and got killed by overwhelming amount of monsters. Being unable to stop and loot boxes is the one big reason for being broke. Other is small amount of kills. I don't know how experienced players balance these things, but I felt if I stopped and killed few extra monsters, I leveled way too fast. I don't remember the maps and don't know exactly what to do and where to go, so there's many unnecessary kills anyway. It may also help to know what are the best places to get fair currency. Got a time to play few hours, so let's see what happens. I have two options. Start looting currency and propably level up too fast, or push through and accept deaths. If I don't kill monsters far enough, they freeze me and then I get killed. Maybe I run some of the older optional missions to see if I can find something valuable without getting too much XP. I have all green 4-linked bow and boots and ggr helmet, but nothing to put my red gems, so I could really use some chromatic orbs.

@@Wistz90 I've been playing 250 hours now in affliction, with this toxic rain build. I had similar problems with sudden deaths but they went away when I switched to predictive mode, so latency had some role in this. I know which modifiers to avoid and they don't explain the phenomena either. Also with this build, I have several times seen that after some upgrades, I become very powerful and the next day those improvements seems to disappear. It can be seen in a delve too, where conditions in certain depth and area type should remain constant. Now as my build starts to be powerful, I haven't seen that power loss for a while

The standard Pantheon is Brine King (Freeze Immunity via Pantheon Upgrade) and Abberath (Burning Ground Immunity via upgraded Pantheon).

Im using master alchemist node over master surgeon and replace life flask with something im need also you need reduced flask charges used and alchemist genius on belt

Yes, they are both pathfinder builds based on Toxic rain, here is the self cast version, the other video shows the ballista based version (+ the shift to poison artillery ballista)

Mainly it becomes 1 button and you don't have to replace balistas because of bosses deleting them

that one only has a duration of .5 seconds, compared to normal 1.2 now on regular Toxic gem. Sounds like alot less damage. I do think the new trans gem would be good in like a manaforged setup though alongside self cast toxic rain.

No, the damage is loss is just too much. "Base duration is 0.50 seconds" Also PF has Withered in its ascendancy.

Quill rain is super strong with toxic rain. He uses it in his ballista build as well. It could force you to run clarity or multiple mana flasks though, since the attack speed drains your mana super fast.

SRS Guardian way more comf, if you only want 1 build for the league then TR

I will say if you only get to red maps and farm there TR has always been comfy to me. Not the most min max farming build, but it's so fun act and white map running this.

@@grillor currently at 94% conversion. And to be honest, the last 6% end up being comparable damage income to getting hit by any elemental hit. (Example from pob, I take 5k damage from all damage types; I end up taking 1k elemental damage, and barely 100-200 physical. Its next to irrelevant.) I used a Purity of Elements Watchers eye. Can give 8-10% more conversion I think

@geronimo5515 thanks. I don't understand where else to get defenses, I get chunked quite often to half before healing back to full with flask. Do you sit at 100 pct hp most time? Not sure how to lower damage incoming

​@@grillor So in general, im 100% while facetanking full juiced abyss. When hard hitting stuff spawns, I drop to 40%, and at that point its hard to move my HP bar lower. But IF in those moments of being stuck at 40%, a heavy hit comes in, I can die. Ive reached lvl96, and since then, ive been doing sirus, and similar. Surviving DIE beam, surviving most of maven stuff (except her antiheal beam) and can facetank all shaper stuff (slam and balls and beam) I think good ways to improve survivability is: Life, Resistances, Phys Conversion In that order Smaller stuff to keep in mind: 20% quality your Petrified Blood. it adds SOME mitigation too. Recoup damage as life, helpful stat. but im unsure of its impact tbh. i just happen to have some Make sure your Spell Suppression chance is at 100%. It can drop to 90%, if you arent full HP. so even just 1hp lost, removes 10%. Compensate, by having 100% without being full hp. I sit at 5.2k HP 100% Resistance on each (chaos too). overcap is helpful to some extent, due to some map mods or altars and so on.

The meta alreary changed, because the chages are already done, but, all the "new" builds will be "experimental builds", so, streamers usually don't make that kind of builds because aren't tested, and even if you do a disclaimer about that, and the ppl still do the build, and it goes bad for them, they'll complain with the streamer... So, where is the point of doing a guide of a new build that you can't even test????
