Youth is overrated, and only lasts five minutes anyway. Ageism, and fetishising of youth has left a huge deficit in voices of wisdom and temperance that we desperately need to heal our society 🌿🌻

@@puggiloveI couldn't agree more. Plus, it's not just "the voice of senior wisom" we're missing out on. We're literally missing out on great friends and interlocutors who know more by sheer longer experience of being on Earth and would share it with us. What a dumb thing, to not have 40+ and 50+ year old friends when we're in our 20s.

I was a child in the seventies. It is so important for younger people to understand and not judge older generations. This magazine shows a life we were presented by the media. Today, the media presents a completely different world view. Sewing and buying patterns, being tan and fruit smelling hair, collecting items for your hope chest, an article about George Washington in a teen magazine. Different planet. At times today's world messes with the reality I was presented as a child. Anyway, thanks for presenting this beautiful flip through' Really nice. Your message about grace was top notch. Coming from a 24 year old, I completely agree! It's important to be understanding and realise that your parents and grandparents grew up in a different world than you did. Tbh even I feel this way sometimes. I was raised by Baby Boomer parents in a small town in France, and now that I've moved around a bit and made American and British friends, I've noticed very stark differences in our upbringing. Sometimes I find it hard to believe we're supposed to be the same generation.

I’ve been very lucky with my Crohn’s so far but yes they’ve just put me on a biologic treatment as well (I think the first level - humira) and I’m a bit scared but hoping that will work for me too for at least a while. Thank you again, I do have my parents and some friends to talk to so I am blessed but it is hard to not feel isolated sometimes, since depression likes to do that! I'm so sorry that you are suffering!! I, too, have an autoimmune condition. The best thing I've done for myself is to go on the carnivore diet. Not sure if you've tried this diet before, but many with Crohn's disease have had great relief doing this particular diet. Some people on the diet can incorporate some dairy like cheese. I would think that you would not be able to. Also no coffee. It sounds crazy to some but it has helped me and I've also lost 32 pounds so far. I'm not a doctor and doctors don't seem to really understand nutrition. Please look into it. It could be the answer you are looking for. I follow a young lady on KZfaq named Steak and Butter Gal. She has many doctors on her channel that explain the benefits of this way of eating. She also has monthly challenges that you can join but I believe you have to pay for them. I don't do any of them because I couldn't afford to, but you can still see enough content to get what you need to know. I'm only trying to be helpful. Please look into it!!

6:10 "And they assume you know things" 😂😂😂 You are too cute my dear Jeannie. I love your beautiful eyes - very clear and intense - it's always so weird to me that people with those clear and healthy looking eyes can have focus or lense problems as well. The sentence with your daughter made me smile as well: "I deleted her. So I think I took care of that problem for now."

Hi Jeannie! My name is Olivia. Your question about the gimbal is great because my partner is a videographer, so I asked him to help guide you with your model! This is what he says: Firstly, the motors are axis based. Bottom-up, from the base of the gimbal to the top, the motors are panned (base motor, side to side), roll (back motor), and tilt (top motor). To balance your camera on it, you'll want to go motor by motor, one motor at a time, if you haven't done so already. For your gimbal model, here is the info on the buttons! - Photo/video button is the button with the line. If you press that button once, you can start & stop filming a video. If you press it twice, it'll take a photo. The M button stands for modes and you probably don't need to use it (notes below). Trigger button on the front: If you double press trigger button, it'll bring camera back to perfect center. If you want to hold the camera in position, press and hold the trigger. The joystick will let you control the camera. The light control wheel on the side will control the light on the front of the gimbal. If you press the wheel once, it'll turn the light "yellow" or "white." If you press and hold the wheel, it'll turn it on and off. If you slide the wheel up and down, it'll adjust the brightness. For the touch screen! - "Mode" allows you to control which motor(s) are free in certain modes, including Lock which locks all of the motors in place and can still be controlled by the joystick if needed. If you need help on this, please come back and ask and we can help! The next button is "balance." That will tell you if each of your motors is balanced correctly and if not, it will tell you which one. The "info" tells you info on gimbal. The bottom right button, "settings," will auto calibrate the motors for the correct weight of your camera. You'll want to do this for each new & different camera you put on it, but you only need to do it once if you use the same camera every time. For the torque, you may need to adjust for proper function of the motor. For the smoothness and follow speed settings, you don't need to worry about this, that's at a default setting. If you want to know how to adjust this faster or slower, please feel free to ask and we can walk you through it. I hope this helps! Happy to help with anything else!

You passed over a short article in the '76 magazine that I remember vividly. It was called Sunny/Shady Lady and it's at 40:39 - I bring it up because it's the first article I can remember that advised fair skinned girls to use sun block to avoid tanning. I grew up in Southern California and had been tanning like everyone else in the 70's. But after I read this little article, I stopped trying to tan. And then we got the news that tanning could lead to skin cancer, and that sealed the deal. I'm 60 now and have hardly any wrinkles and people compliment me on my skin. It's mostly because I stayed out of the sun.

I don't see the point in that magazine at that time it was basically all adds ...Yawn .. Not my cup of tea too much like a young girls vouge.. Some subjects to were completely ignored by her important subjects such as help for periods tampons and such things .. For too up in the clouds for me .. I was born in 74 and we all know by now the facts of life and how it isn't all pretty .. I'm glad we are getting real and opening up and helping fellow women more .. Enough of the ads there's enough of them on KZfaq as it is.. Godbless.

I love the how earthy looking a lot of the ads are. And that they were drawn. My favorite was the Clairol artwork at the beginning and the Herbal Essences ads! I would love to see more ads with a drawn, earthy feel like that these days. I'm so thankful the Baby Soft ad is frowned upon nowadays and the feminine hygiene industry has come a long way from all the harmful scented stuff and pad belts!

Thank you for also turning the pages from the top corner of the page, for whatever reason page turning is the only asmr I get the tingles from and specifically when the pages are turned from the top of the pages. Weird I know! It is what it is. Your earlier video, the one with the magazine with JFK on the cover, I’ve watched so many times that I’ve got almost every page turned memorized. So I’ve been hoping you would do another one similar to that format and this video has been the closest to that one so thank you.
