The funniest thing was that Andrea had a reckless mouth with everyone in the movie including her own husband and mother. But when MRS CARTWRIGHT rolled up on her in that hotel room she didn't have a mumbling word to say. Jillian dressed her down like she was the chambermaid and she just sat there and took it. Where was all that mouth when that YT woman stepped to her? Andrea was full of shyte. LOL!

1) I give it Mrs. Cartwright bc she handled it like a lady, someone else would’ve went buck wild on Andrea in that hotel room 2) Andrea’s mom and sister tried to tell her the grass ain’t greener on the other side but she didn’t wanna listen. And 3) between Andrea believing that William was gonna leave his wife for her and Chris not seeing the obviously loud signs that his wife was cheating and who she was cheating with, IDK who’s more delusional 😅

Andrea will forever be the in the wrong, but Chris was frustratingly slow lolll. Him thinking it was a good idea to have a talk with his boss about starting the same business he's running and then asking for contacts on top of that showed such a lack of awareness. His inability to see that Andrea pretty much hates him, is also worrying. Then, using all her money to start a business without speaking with her first??? Andrea is delusional in an evil way and deserved to lose it all, but Chris was delusional as well, just in a more well-intentioned way. I've never had a man give me anything. The fact that she's the side chick and she's getting hundreds of thousands of dollars from her side dude is very impressive to me. Her one mistake was forgetting that her side relationship wasn't based on love but lust ( at least from William's point of view) I know the character Andrea gets a lot of hate in this movie but I identify with her on so many levels. I don't approve of the was she treats people but I understand her frustration with life. She seems to be to miserable., unhappy and angry with her life in general. Maybe it's because I used to work at a bank, but Tyler Perry NEEDS to do research on the jobs he has in his movies. What irks me so bad about this movie is that there is no UNIVERSE where that bank teller should've told Chris about Andrea's account. It doesn't matter if you're married or not in banking regulations, either your name is on the account, or it's not. That alone is grounds for a lawsuit and criminal liability for both the bank and the bank teller who blabbed. Second, even in states that would consider that money a marital asset, Andrea would be entitled to AT LEAST half of it, if not all of it. There's no circumstance where he could take ALL the money in HER account and not face any repercussions at all. And, this is not about the money, but Chris's way of going about his business plan was just so stupid. Andrea was not a good person but Chris was dumb as a box of rocks; he got a happy ending through sheer luck.

No lie I almost stopped liking Sanaa Lathan after this movie! She portrayed Andrea so well she made me think it was for real. Lol. Sadly there are women like Andrea out there though so people beware smh. As for Chris, yeah my boy was slow, lol. Andrea had everything that MANY people would dream of having but she threw it all away because to her, all the good things she had were meaningless unlike William who had all this money and status which she wanted. I mean Andrea was goofy to think that man was going to leave his wife, but let’s keep it 100. She did secure that bag twice. I knew this review would be coming soon due to it being highly requested. This was Sanaa Lathan’s first departure from her usual homie lover friend roles. Tyler Perry says that he likes to take actors & actresses out of their comfort zone by making them play different roles from the norm. Andrea used her father’s abandonment to treat Chris like shit & emasculate him to no end. Ben should have told Chris in the beginning that he was the laughing stock at work. Chris is the poster child for husbands who deserve better. I don’t condone domestic violence but Andrea deserved that slap across the encounter. Fun Facts: Alfre Woodard & Sanaa Lathan were also mother & daughter in Something New & Alfre Woodard & Taraji P. Henson were also mother & daughter on Empire. Can we please get reviews on the following Tyler Perry films: Diary Of A Mad Black Woman Madea’s Family Reunion Daddy’s Little Girls Temptation: Confession Of A Marriage Counselor I Can Do Bad All By Myself Madea Goes To Jail Madea’s Big Happy Family The Single Mothers Club Acrimony Next weeks review is Jason’s Lyric.

The resounding moral (at least to me) with this movie is inspired by Chappelle’s Show: When Keeping It Real Goes Wrong. Tyler tends to have repeated themes in his movies such as the high and mighty black woman who needs to be humbled, husbands/wives cheating on one another and someone getting their get back. I was about to say this movie from last week’s video hint but I wasn’t too sure. It’s been a while since I last saw this movie and your analysis was great. As for next week’s movie, I’ll just wait.

i personally never had an issue with Chris taking Andrea's money to start their company. I know two wrongs dont make a right but I can see how he may have assumed that more money would eventually be coming to Andrea from the company, since she lied and led him to believe the company was already compensating her so well thus far. I can also see Chris harboring quite a bit of resentment towards Andrea for constantly shooting down his dream, emasculating him in public and private, comparing him to her wealthy boss, and her overall just being nasty towards him and treating him like a burden that she refused to leave alone. Its almost like Andrea kept Chris around to use as a metaphorical punching bag, so with all of that mounting, then he gets fired and finds out about this secret money that his wife was hiding, so he kind of snapped and said eff it, cuz he didn't have much to lose at that point

She really was. Normally I don’t condone men hitting women or people putting their hands on each other period, but in this case, Andrea deserved it. All of the times that she treated Chris like shit when he’s done nothing, that slap was a hundred percent justified. I was so glad that Chris didn’t take Andrea’s narcissistic, money-hungry and lying ass back in the end.

I disagree. That slap wasn’t proportional to the disrespect. He was supposed to knock her out 😂😂😂

He should not have taken the money out of her account. I would have been angry to, if he took my money.
