I'd watch out on the Caddy you have a WD40 can right next to the battery terminals, that could start a fire if you're unlucky.

I have the same lock on my Caddy side door and back door. i undo the lock to open the doors. Its a security feature which sometimes can be annoying

Thank God it's not the VAG junk brand that you usually buy Paul. Cost effective and VAG do not belong in the same sentence. The only concern is that the injectors go on these around 100,000 miles and cost at least £1000.

The injectors do not cost 1,000 pounds. I just bought 4 news bosch ones for just under 600.

Just lost recently lost my 2017 1600 diesel version of this van head gasket went engine ended up being toast only done 80k in was in the garage for 3 months whilst the garage numties tried to fix it definitely not my favourite van front suspension was always needing top mounts . Sadly you're going to be always fixing that van they are very weak .

My thoughts exactly, after having replaced the timing chain on my sons Merc, (engine out job) all I can say about German engineering is they must have taken lessons from the Chinese!
