They help a lot forpeople in jobs where you have to stand still, like till work. They provide cushioning to the feet and ankles. Ask anybody in the service industry who's lucky enough to use one.

I stopped shopping at Morrisons at the start of Covid when they refused me access because, though exempt due to a medical condition, I refused to wear a mask. Was never asked at Sainsbury's.

I have witnessed these vans at my local Morrison’s in County Durham. They are signed up with the words, In partnership with Morrison’s! They are as shady as fuck! Shop with the small guys and use cash, before you lose both!!!

I watch the auditors here in America too. You have great repartee. The down side is it appears the same all over. Every idiot in the world thinks a cameraman needs a written slip of paper to film them. Except, of course, the literal thousands of cameras that watch every move they make in their lives when out of their homes. What's the answer to this terrible infringement? Call the coppers. What should a man do when correctly called a fat boy? Call the coppers like a quaking mass of flesh.

Come and visit Germany :) Point a camera one somebody without confidence and share the pic or video and you will be sued of thousands of dollars. The image and voice is protected by constitution. In Germany, there is almost no way to film in public legally. Only in rural areas or when nobody is there. There are a few exceptions. It is very strict here.
