It's nice for a change, isn't it? There will be about 16 more of these videos to come if we're going to paddle the whole thing 😳 Thanks for watching and being an early screener 😉

The Green River sequel that rises above the amazing original installment! Well done, brother, this is another instant BTC classic. You deserve all the praise for how well you represent Greensburg and the beauty of the Green River. You should send this to their tourist dept so that they can feature it! I’ll jump right into my thoughts: - 0:23 You’re making BB proud with your pre-trip shots. These are always some of my favorites, and yours are no exception, especially the way you work in the text so seamlessly in the midst of the shot. - 0:46 There’s a fact I did not know about my hometown until I was today years old (That Gburg is wrapped by the river on three sides). It really is a river town! - 0:51 I am glad that Gburg is feeling more like home to you! You definitely fit right in with our family and we have been lucky to have you and Nick visit on such quality trips together! - 1:01 I need to know what the laughter was the result from. Maybe a TWSS, perhaps? 😉 - 1:28 Every shot that you have where Uncle Bill is in frame with us is just plain special. - 2:02 “The sunshine was more balm than bludgeon.” You got that right. That was such a fair, mild day to be on the water. We need to do more floating in late sept/early oct! - 3:08 The color in this shot is superb. 3:19 I can feel the refreshment in this shot on my feet right now. That water felt so good. - 3:43 This truly was one of the most relaxing lunch breaks I have ever had on trail/river. The food, drink, company, and views were 2nd to none! - 3:57 I am glad you caught all these leaving floating on the water. Was so cool to see in person, thanks for letting me get to relive it again! - 4:03 There is so much color in this shot too! It is amazing how much “fall” we saw while on the water this weekend. This comp might be one of my favs. It could be framed, easily. - 4:27 You pulled this shot off so well! I remember you taking it and talking about it in the moment- so cool to see something from the shell’s POV. - 4:38 Totally missed these guys in the water too! Are these minnows? Drooling over the color, yet again. - 5:09 I really enjoyed this sequence of writing. The imagery of the river being a big canyon that is filled with melted trees is really cool. - 6:03 Our annual “arm day” weekend is starting to feel more natural to me! Can’t wait for next year’s arm weekend haha - 6:57 That is one relaxed and content looking man who is happy to be at camp, right there. - 7:25 Easily the best backpacking/packrafting meal I have had yet, to date. Steaks, corn, taters, bev’s. Hungry for some rn! - 7:37 Unequivocally beautiful looking food. - 8:15 I was so happy to see this make another appearance. At this rate, we need to have an annual “Sam destroy his mouth on liquid corn magma” shot during each yaking trip, too hahahaha - 9:03 And I barely escaped with my life after that bovine drop kick! - 9:13 I’m really glad you got this shot too. I didn’t see the cow knock over the GoPro. Also, I think this is foreshadowing its fate in a few hours haha - 9:26 Mrs. Photogenic! She’s practically begging you to keep the lens on her! - 9:46 There is so much early fall color in this shot. What a beautiful scene to wake up to! - 10:12 Shewee those are some soaked rainfly’s. I forgot how much it rained that night. - 10:38 This is another favorite comp of mine. The reflection off the water with the boats is just unreal. True Liquid Symmetry, indeed. - 10:50 to 13:29 Wow, Chad. I’m not sure if you intended to draw from the beloved prose of A River Runs Through It, but Norman Maclean would be awfully proud of what you have filmed and written here. “The line drew cursive shapes in a language I could not understand” and “Maybe I couldn’t understand the language, but I could see the beauty in it” are powerful. And all the shots of us casting and the reflection of the water were the perfect companion to your words. Got me emotional the first time I listened and watched. Well done! - 14:11 Wonderful capture of this blue heron moving along that downed tree. Looks like something out of a safari Nat Geo show! - 14:14 Is this Green River of the Red River? One wouldn’t know from those rock features! - 14:24 It would be cool to someday say we paddled the entire Green. I would definitely get a tattoo for that, and hope you two would join me! - 14:43 There hereby stands the last known footage of Ye Old GoPro. May she rest in peace. - 16:10 Never would have thought I would see an arch in Green County. This was a cherry on top of things to see for this section of river! - 16:24 to 16:49 You got me all in my feels with this section too! This was beautifully done. The slow, floating shot of Bill on the top of the bank and your words of his seemingly iconic stature and timing with always being there for us will live with me forever. The imagery and words evoked here perfectly encapsulate how I feel about Bill as my uncle. Which shows how well you have gotten to know him and my family, too! I agree with you brother- regardless of whether we ever finish it, each trip down together brings us all a little closer together. Jeez, man. Practically welling up as I’m typing this out at work rn haha. - The entire blooper section speaks for itself: ICONIC. - 17:58 These ethereal steaks popping up next to this cow had me DYING hahahahha. - 19:01 The GOAT of all YT comments - 19:19 Is that a banana or are you just happy to see the camera? 😉 I know I always say this, but this might be my new BTC favorite. Any time I am down or need to feel some emotion again in life, I can just jump onto your channel and be reminded of home, family, and good friends like you and Nick. Thankful for you, brother. We will be missing you on trail this weekend! Can’t wait to hang out on and off the trail together in 2023! Until then, cheers!

Whoa, I didn't realize I hadn't responded to this one! 😅 I know we talked about it outside YT, but I'll say a few more things. - The laughter at 1:01 is from Nick making a comment about seeing your version of this video "a year from now." 🤣 - The creatures at 4:38 are whirligig beetles, I believe. They were mesmerizing! - 7:37 Probably our best-tasting "trail" meal, and definitely our most beautiful. I'm glad you appreciated the corn throwback 😁 - 9:13 I didn't even think about the foreshadowing 😑 - I tried to shoot and include as much symmetry as possible. The river was making it easy on this trip. - 10:50 The fly fishing sequence is my favorite part of the video. I was definitely thinking about Norman Maclean when I wrote and edited this part. He's right in thinking that there's poetry in fly fishing, and I didn't see it until I tried it. I'd love to go out west and do a fly fishing trip. - 14:24 Man, if we actually paddle the entire river, I'll get that tattoo with you. - 14:43 😥😥 RIP. - 16:24 I was thrilled when I got home and saw this shot of Bill standing on the bank with you slowly coming into the frame. The way he's standing there waiting for us, with that white aura around him, made me think about all the kind words you've shared about him. I'm glad you appreciated my little ode to Bill and Greensburg! It's the least I could do after the hospitality we've been shown. - 17:58 I originally had this cow/steak narration in the main video, but it seemed a little out of tone, haha. But I couldn't get rid of it completely. - 19:01 I can't even remember whether I recorded this on purpose, but I'm so glad I did. Thank you for all your kind words, and for that wonderful Greensburg hospitality! I can't wait for Part III (and beyond?). I'm pumped that we finally have a tentative date for our next adventure together. See you soon!
