@@wesnewsom313 Yeah like he's not being an annoying Christian, Kirbo is just genuinely following his faith in these videos! I say this as a non-Christian: I think Kirbo is a very wholesome Christian here. He does extensive public service, brings the Gospel to the other residents of Dreamland, and gives away his belongings to those who need them more. And he's constantly saving the universe from dark forces to boot. He's doing the things that Jesus asked of his followers.

I just realized that Alucard was worried because he’s half-vampire and going to the Christmas party of two very devout Christians. So seeing Simon calm him down at 1:32 is actually very sweet.

I don't know if anyone has mentioned it, but I find it so sweet that Belmont, Luigi, and Kirbo not only invited his bud Alucard to this get-together for the holidays, but Alucard felt safe enough to attend, even knowing the religious practice of the hosts could be a danger to him. There wasn't anything indicating he was forced to attend or stay, and there was even a moment taken out of prayer to assure him that he was fully welcomed in this space. That is being a good host, and I am very heartwarmed to see it.

Solid Snake showing up is actually saying a lot from him. The events of Zanzibarland were on Christmas, 1999. A lot of bad memories with this date with the death of Gray Fox and Big Boss. The fact he's here celebrating means that his family with Otacon and Sunny, Kirbo, and the rest of the Smash family have made him a happier person and actually want to celebrate it with friends. My man is healing and growing and I couldn't be happier.

So believe it or not, Alucard actually has holy lineage from his mother Lisa (it's why he can use holy weapons like Holy Water, the Cross, or the Holy Sword without getting hurt). Nerd moment aside, I'd assume religion, and especially Christmas, is still a bit of an uncomfortable area for Alucard, so Simon's reassurance was very cute. Who knows, maybe he'll invite Richter and Maria for next year's Christmas

The most perfect part about this is that Geno and Sephiroth are highlighted during the passage about forgiveness, because, according to TerminalMontage canon, Sephiroth wronged Geno by stealing his Smash invitation and murdering him. If Geno can forgive him, I suppose I can, too.
