I find it weird that they are all exbuzzfeed employees. I wonder what's going to come out in the inevitable buzzfeed documentary.

It’s probably just that they’re in LA so they have aspirations to make “industry quality” content.

there is actually one platform that is become successful: Nebula. I don't understand why youtubers want to all make their own instead of looking into others that already exist outside of youtube or along side it

Interesting. The fact that Nebula is a collection of creators is immediately more appealing. Lol

@@uselessnobody4178 Jup and it is founded by youtubers themself, who made it so that the creators get the most coin, and that they can do bigger projects then on youtube as the subscriptions fund them to be able to do so and create more quality for your buck and their dreams and visions

I think Eugene was very smart building his own influencer empire outside of buzzfeed/try guys, and then dipping from try guys before they made this subscription service announcement 😭 I know history repeats itself, but this is awfully soon

He’s the most popular Try Guy and the main one people seem to tune in for, so it’ll be interesting to see how things go once he leaves.

Patreon is a pain, it's HONESTLY not consistent, and they could get thrown off the platform for anything in the apst that Ned did, so having full control at a corporate level is -- probably buisiness wise smart. I'm not going to subscribe to Try Guys, i wish them well clearly -- I lost interest around the time Ned left, haven't watched much cause -- it just got to oclose to buzzfeed's level of content and wasn't fun anymore

Yeah, there could be validity to this. I’m not too familiar with patreon to know how much of a headache it is.

I suspect this is an attempt to be free of patreon - I know a lot of creators hate patreon due to some shady practices. I personally don’t think the sub services will work, but I sort of get what they’re trying to do.

they said that they're restructuring their patreon just to be for their podcasts.
