Give it a few more generations, its not like they've never been bred before en masse and I imagine it ought to be easier to breed tame foxes.

Dogs have lived with humans for tens of thousands of years while these foxes only several decades, although with these foxes, the selection for domesticated traits was very consistent and deliberate

I feel like domesticated animals all deserve loving homes but I strongly believe that we’ve failed SO many domesticated dogs and cats already who are euthanized, displaced or doomed to slow deaths without their wild instincts … my question is: is it ethical to even consider adding another domesticated “pet” to the world when humans have had such a terrible track record of taking care of what they’ve already domesticated? Staying wild is a great solution in my opinion.
