I was in Hungary in July. It was definitely more expensive than berlin. Everyone said it was cheap. I think it was hit hard by inflation

Beer .....first trip to Deutschland arriving Munich train station at 07:00 in the morning and we go find cafe and realize half the passengers on the platform are drinking beer and the others coffee ....was a big culture shock

@@todyrodgers1169 it's actually called "Ape" (pronounced ah-peh) from Piaggio, the Italian maker of Vespa. But internationally it is known as tuk tuk. Perhaps because of the widely usage of them in India.

Wusstest du dass das Wort Sri Lanka sich aus drei deutschen Wörtern zusammensetzt? 1.) Sri ist eine Abkürzung für Sorry welches so viel wie "Entschuldigung" bedeutet. 2.) Lan ist ein eingedeutschtes Wort aus dem Türkischen, welches die Bedeutung eines Satzes nochmal unterstreicht wie z.B. in dem Satz "Isch hab den übel rasiert, Lan!" 3.) ka ist die Abkürzung für die beliebteste Antwort eines Deutschen auf jede Frage: Keine Ahnung. Wie man sieht ist die deutsche Sprache also auf der ganzen Welt sogar auf Inseln verbreitet!

My buddy once made some beer. By "made some beer," I mean that he put all of the ingredients together in a bottle and forgot it in his basement for maybe a year. The pressure inside the bottle was strong enough to send the bottle cap into the wall across the room when I popped the top, and the head on the beer was just about the thickness and consistency of meringue. Not sure what the proof was, but it definitely had a kick.

Not sure you even have it in Germany, but it is pretty well known outside. And if I got it right, you answered about the beers from the region Bavaria in general. You said, "Talk around the bush."😂 It's "beat around the bush." It means to use a stick to hit the perimeter of shrubs to frighten birds into flying out of them to be able to shoot them. It's avoiding actual contact with the bush, which is compared to a speaker not getting to the point.

LOVE YOUR CHANNEL! I am one of many USA citizens who share German ancestry. I've worked a lot with a German client for Japanese sake (so my background is a bit different) but I must say you had me laughing out loud with your opinions. Absolutely beautiful!!! Hungary is truly lovely. You can go to a fabulous piano concert for a small percentage of what it costs in Berlin, Vienna, Paris, etc. Vienna is incredible. I agree with this too. As for me, I think I am most "proud" of Germany for protecting green space wisely, Beethoven, Rottweiler Dogs, Aspirin and Alt Bier from Dusseldorf..... Ahhhhhhhhhhhh. Hey man, I took two years of German decades ago in the University I graduated from. But I've forgotten all of it. My question is can an American make it in Berlin speaking English? And pick up German by taking night classes? There are things about Germany that I like such as German attention to detail, being on time, etc.

I always maybe have wild dream things like making my own milk, wine (easy), moonshine duh, but beer sounds like a lot of work and in the end it ends up like cooking breat & will probably taste like yeast and wheat fermented so we are used to buying bottled drinks.

Great video as always. Have you heard of Ski Aggu? He is also from Berlin-Wilmersdorf to be exact. you should try and do a piece with him. Help break him into the US market with your reach. Bavarian beers made me ditch wine a few years ago. Great taste, even better size with 0.5L bottles. We buy beer in bulk to bring back to the Netherlands when we are in Bavaria where we have some friends ❤. Curious about that Weizen. Didn’t try that one yet.

Weltschmerz, I learned that phrase, "world weariness," in sophomore literary review spring semester, when I was in (f)art school. It was having to have been forced, against my free will, to read Kafka's "Metamorphes." Ach, mein Gott! Haven't been to Berlin, yet, but it'll happen, granted we haven't been nuked into the stone age. We visited Heidelberg...beautiful city! I love how all the old buildings have the coolest signs and statues. The castle was cool too. Had a really great curry for lunch there! Sri Lanka, was there too. On my first night I traveled throughout Colombo on one of those little moped-whatever...in the course of the night we were scooting around, with my driver, myself, his brother, nephew and a rather rotund Buddhist monk we picked up at a Buddhist temple. We took the old Viceroy's train to Kandy, for the Temple of the Tooth, the Viceroy's summer abode...and a really, REALLY COOL elephant trail ride. Well, hope you get to ride an elephant, watch out for the snake charmers' snakes, they're not de-fanged and are still carrying their venom. Tschuch!
