If there were improvements I want. 1) Dialogue portraits or improving that feature of communication. 2) Rival marriages being an option, I love rival marriages so so much. 3) the kids looking like your spouse again in some way.

im glad japanese players have spoken out about the state of the game and bc of it the developer has had to respond. I'm glad that they will try to fix some of the issues in the game. Will it ever be truly polished? I'm doubtful but hopefully it will be better than what it is now

Goats aren’t a new animal. Harvest moon: A wonderful life and Another wonderful life had a goat in the game.

Honestly the two things that bother me the most are a lack of character portraits during conversations and the horrible textured objects when you go behind them (like the buildings and the trees)- example being 14:35. I get that they need to show you visible on the inside or behind the objects, but the texture it makes is incredibly immersion breaking.

I want more responsibility. I want to be able to buy pet food to give to your pets and as your children grow up can they help with the farm. Because the more ppl you have taking care of the farm the more time you have to explore those up and coming expansion packs.

Really good point about having makers/tool in their own space. I really enjoyed in A Wonderful Life having a toolshed next to the barn, and having a literal fridge for milk (it's own building too like wow). I'm excited to play even more now!

for now, i just find the whole game design looking so cute.

I watched a lets play and something that really disappointed me was that you can't actively participate on the egg festival and that most of the cut scenes with the villagers will not give you items. For example there is a cut scene where you can eat cake with the villagers but in the end you dont have a cake in your poket. I think that it would be so cute if they have added these features in the game

In Japan developer put notice that he will do updates to fix loading times dialogue and improve the makers so keep that in mind. Oh and bug fixes too.

I do love the portraits but it really isn’t a dealbreaker for me! It seems like there is so much more to do compared to SoS friends of mineral town. It doesn’t take much for me to enjoy these types of games though :) Great video!

This is just a hunch but they might have made the 3-day before & after dialogue so ppl who don't chat with villagers often wont miss it.

I don’t understand how the customization we got in ACNH isn’t just standard for every farm sim now. These games are popular enough, it seems like the budget doesn’t match the demand.

I also agree the makers spoil the aesthetics of the farm and should be housed in a building. My solution is to move them to the spring/summer/fall/winter farm sites.

the fixing up the town to attrack more people reminds me of the first story of seasons on the ds in it the mayor is a lady and you fix up the town building things the difference is you place them yourself in that game also i feel like the house was pretty customizable in that game you could move furniture around and change walpaper ect and in trio of towns once you fully upgrade your house there was a number of differnt styles you could change it to i have a cute animal theme house in my save on trio of towns but the furniture i dont think was able to be moved around or really changed

I think this game make a good experience on story of seasons (except remake version). The thing that i'd to add in this game is the building that can put all the maker in there saving space and reduce a fps drop a bit !!

I know you're not really focusing on friendships yet, but do you know if any of the villagers will give you gifts??

my beginner tips 1. learn how to make your makers, some items are in a crafting menu, not at the shops , not at an object in your farm they are in a menu I lost 3 weeks not knowing I had menus. 2. Keep a little of every thing and sell a little of every thing you never know when you'll need a really odd thing 3. upgrade the hammer and Ax 1st so getting more materials goes faster I would put this up there with the best so far. New Beginning and Animal Parade also had a lot of fun to them. lost valley, Wonderful Life and Light of Hope were not my favorites. HM64/ FoMT are mostly nostalgia now going back to them now feels out dated. Im also wondering about other farm or life sims that are on Switch Some thing with getting married ,having friends and family, building custom things easy on par with this game but more realism too. Give me people who have more complexity to them. let me have more clothing and hair options give me just a little more to do then collect things, give me more verity, more interactions. and I also want a heavily involved Photography game.

I enjoy the game a lot now & I love working on the farm but talking to the townspeople & marriage candidates are the best because I get very lonely so easily & I alway checking on damon after I got married to him 😊

Well, I am not sure if this is true, but, if they are adding other romance options, and if I can trust the wiki, it seems they are adding Ludus from SoS ToT. If he is added, they might add house customization through him since that was his job in his game. Not that I know, but it would be an easy way to add it in. Just like adding Neil could bring in more animals and such. But that is just a wild guess.

I don't like how most items take so much space, I mean, it could probably cover just 1 tile instead of 4, right? I like my decor crowded a bit.

Much like in Doraemon Story of seasons the tools are better when upgrade to Silver. Olive town looks far more interesting than HM one world. Customizing the house interior is not a big deal. I want to talk to villagers while balancing farm choirs. Probably won't start decorating the farm till second year.

In Story of Seasons 3DS there was house decorations, like wallpaper, flooring, and furniture, sucky how they limited that for a switch game

So, HM A New Beginning had more house customizations and freedom in movement for buildings and decorations. That is kind of regressing than progressing then.

I'll be patient and wait for the PC version.

for pigs in the game it would be great if they had a pet pig i would love that we had a pet pig once her name was pepa she bit my cousin though so we had to rehome her she was very spoiled here and at the home she was rehomed to and we were able to go see her i want to still knwo if the animals in this game die though or if they are imortal

I wasn’t going to buy the game because I didn’t really like the bachelorettes/bachelors but I didn’t want to miss out on the expansion pack. I’m enjoying it but it is for sure not my favourite. I don’t like the lack of profiles during conversations and I’ve had a decent amount of graphical issues (clipping, animals going through walls, etc (also not a graphical issue but I don’t like the photos for loading screens, wish I could just turn that off or switch it to like concept art or something; I don’t want to look as bad pics of people’s eyes or cow butts lol)). I also wished that the character and house customization was better (and that you could places things at an angle on farm land :/) I think that once I get my farm really going that I will like it more though. I would say that if you really want the suitors that are suppose to come into the game like me then to go for it. If you don’t really care, then I would wait for a sale.

Why would I pay $55 when I can get a similar game, just as big, with lots to do, with very large worlds, just as good, possibly better than this for less than half the price?? This game is HUGELY and RIDICULOUSLY overpriced. AND it's not even the FULL game?? There are DLCs? The value of the game is about $20 to $25. Or less really - the graphics aren't even that great, from what I can see in this video. Why? Because it's in the Chinese language? I don't even think it would be worth it on sale...
