They need to reprint first chapter. I want to be able to collect cards for decks. The only ppl that don’t want a reprint are resellers.

Great content, but my assumption is they wont reprint anytime soon and if they do reprint it may have a stamp on the cards identifying them as a different print just like MTG alpha & Beta

The SKU number on the boxes can be read like this. The first runs start with 05, meaning they were printed in may. Second numbers after 05 is the day. There's also some product that start 06 for June. Not sure if that's considered first run. It is early on so it might be. Lastly you will see numbers like 2923CM. That means it was printed 292nd day of 2023. On the Inklands boxes you will see something like 0054CM meaning 5th day of the year 2024. I hope this helps anyone reading this when you buy product.

Here's a random question.. With the Ursula return set being the 'completion' of the initial story (i.e. first chapter), what are the odds that the fifth set be called the second chapter? If so, what would that mean for the collectability of the first four sets?

It would be so interesting if they snagged one more card from the first set and printed a new enchanted if they reprinted the First Chapter stuff. Kinda adding a reason to re buy some stuff. Or kinda like you said about putting them all together and adding a promo card possibly.

You think they’ll ever add textures to Enchanteds or higher end legendary cards like pokemon? I don’t know what it is about textures to cards, but they make them both look and feel that much more special

Not sure if it's a reprint, but stores hosting the set championships in a few weeks will be receiving a few booster boxes of each set. that has been confirmed by Ravensburger according to store owners. Again, not sure if it is a reprint though for set 1.

New question for you: is every set worthy of keeping sealed product and if so, how much do you rip, and how much do you set aside?

First wave has EN01 on the packs, reprint has EN02 same with the back of the boxes

The game has not been released in my country yet, so the first chapter was really hard to come by. Only a handful of stores sold the few amounts they were able to find. This impacted the local community as many were disheartened by the lack of product and didn't want to overspend by ordering singles online. If RB doesn't reprint at least the first chapter including all the enchanted cards, then it doesn't seem fair to all the players that never had access to it.

Great video and takes. I think another thing to throw out there is there are multiple levels of collectors. Some are all about the chase cards, set building, etc. Others don't care at all about those chase cards or sets and only care about the singles for decks. others are cursed (like me) and want both! Others only care about collecting sealed products. My hope is a master set for each set, but I also want multiple copies of every card so that I can leverage those cards for my decks. In regards to chapter 1 reprint, I think they will NEED to reprint it because there are so many staple cards from the first chapter that are used in so many decks. As a manufacturer, I can't imagine that they want playing the game to be cost prohibitive. Simple example is Maui - hero to all. It's a rare, meaning you should get 1 copy per 2-3 boxes on average (fairly common). I don't believe Ravensburger wants a rare to be 15-20 bucks. The cost to play an A tier deck is anywhere from 300-800 dollars. If they want to continue to grow the fanbase and number of players, they would need to reprint just to keep it affordable for the average player and consumer. The more people playing and ripping the product will mean there are more copies of each enchanted, but that also means there will be more people chasing those enchanteds for their collection. Win win! Do you think the Elsa bubble will pop? It's a beautiful card! Is it $1500-2500 beautiful when it is only 6 months old? IMO, no - and more copies need to be in the market. In 10 years, 20 years, 30 years, I believe Frozen will still be a beloved franchise and there will be more than a few thousand collectors for that card. Last point for that comment - I have no idea how many copies exist for the First Chapter enchanteds, but based on PSA population reports, there are ~1300 PSA 10s. I am speculating that there are another 50% in queue for grading due to the boom. So MAYBE 3000 total graded copies between the major grading services? I am positive there are way more collectors than that.

Again it’s not an exact thing. But what I’ve noticed from ripping cards from a 2023 run vs a 2024 run is that the corners aren’t as cleanly rounded in the 2023 run cards. Could be wrong though.

If they reprint the first chapter there needs to be an edition mark on the cards themselves or they need to make it a revised set rerelease

I cant find first chapter or floodborn anywhere anymore, and i dont have a single Enchanted from it yet. I dont really care as much about the value i just want all of the cards as a collector. The prices are absolutely ridiculous right now

My question to you : I've been investing a lot on lorcana (mostly enchanted) but I'm now at the point where some of the top enchanted are getting out of reach price wise, I'm debating if I should go down the path of completing the first chapter master set (i.e. foils and legendaries) or save money to target some of the top enchanted in subsequent sets. For context i have a completed set of both FC and Floodborn (minus enchanted and foils) and my main interest is growth potential. Any insights you'd care to share? Idk when will they reprint. I think they need to reprint more troves imo. The problem is every new set is introducing something new every set. I think they might with the demand for the tournaments and will ann reprints then.

How about a reprint set once a wave of previous sets. So after the Ursula set, a combination of the previous three sets minus the enchanteds, but perhaps with new enchanteds. Keeps the collectability of old enchanteds, brings prices down for previous set staples, and new enchanteds give a reason for enfranchised players a reason to buy.

I think if they reprint, they shouldn't reprint the chase cards. That's how you determine if the enchanted cards are first edition. If they reprint, they would need to include NEW chase art. Keeps the value of the old enchanted and produces new hype for the reprint.

I was so excited for enchanted Cinderella but I think they really missed the mark with the art. The gold isn’t consistent with the nostalgia that I’m looking to feel when I see Cinderella. So I don’t want that card because it doesn’t check that nostalgia box for me. It doesn’t feel classic Cinderella. They REALLY captured Belle’s whimsy in her enchanted. So personally, I would invest in Belle and hope they do another Cinderella someday.

There will be zero reprints. There is no reason for a reprint. Buy singles. Lorcana had 3 reprints. They were sitting in stores at $149. During third reprint. Why didn't anyone buy them? Seems like people want reprints as soon as they sell out. What are people waiting for? I bought a booster box every week at my LGS during the third reprint. I knew they would sell out. You don't need a crystal ball. Everyone saw what happened during the first print run.
