What is being done about the abnormally long wait times. From a business owner standpoint I'd be worried about a boot company coming to market with the same quality without the wait. There goes market share.

All the PNW makers have long wait times. Suburban "loggers" are keeping them all busy. Wonder what percentage never see the woods, like Jeeps and lifted trucks.

Suburban loggers and ie Heritage wearers. Regardless, they make the styles. They should be able to deliver in a more streamlined manner. I do understand operations, margins, materials, but 6 months for a boot is long. Just ordered a truck from GMC takes 3 months. From the ground up. Now that being said quality does take time and being a nicks customer I ordered with the understanding and I’m willing to wait. I just wonder how many sales have walked because of being put off by the wait. I wouldn’t want my clients waiting. Ultimately it is a commodity and that’s concerning.

Could be worse I wanted to change to a new leather offering after waiting 3 months on my order. Ended up having to cancel the original order and put in a new one for the same boot in Bison. Just kinda sucks that the wait is reset (although if they run the bison orders together in a group who knows what the wait will be).

@@eingames9931 Nick's "lost" my order. At least that was the explanation after waiting more than several months (this was about two years ago). It appeared they rushed the order after I called wondering where my boots were. I got them pretty quickly after that. FWIW, they were Bison (Carl Murawski collabs). I think you will like the Bison unless you are really working in them. Wish mine were 8" or 10", but the 6" boot is fine. BTW, they bill when you order, not when the item ships. Kind of BS to hold you money for 6-12 months before you get your goods.

@@dontorres2055 Six months is OK. Some of the other PNW builders are a year or more. I won't wait that long. If GM was hand-hammering the fenders and hoods, and hand assembling the vehicle, how long do you think it would take to build a truck? Check out the wait time for a Rolls-Royce. It's nearly a year. These boots are niche items and far from a commodity. More like the Rolls-Royce to GM comparison. Buy Red Wings or Thorogoods (or Jim Green) if one needs fast delivery. That's not a dig on RW or JG. I wore Red Wings for years.
